HAHAHA. After TLOU reveal, everybody is looking for predictive "easter eggs" in their games.
But we can expect more from Sony's First-Party Studios, right?
@ugo
Let me guess. You saw Titanfall didn't you?
Put it this way: The launch titles on the PS4 surpasses that of the PS3. Now take into consideration the amount of time before the PS3 took traction after the first 3 years - now - it's doing it right out of the gate. Add to that the easy-to-develop hardware and the top tier first-party developers already working the kinks on the system, you can easily see what kind of impact it will have this generation it's scary.
Let me break it down so that you guys can visuali...
Exactly. I can't for the life me understand why you need 3 racing simulators with incremental upgrades to play on your system when it's practically the SAME game.
I'd rather have 1 or 2 very polished simulators to play for the generation. Personally, I think it's about time GT go the online route where the game evolves every year like the PC racing sims. As the PS4 is beginning to embrace online/cloud tech, it's a matter of time simulators can fully re...
Titanfall looks to be a fun game. However, if PS4 buyers were to be jealous of a "cross-gen" game compared to a full blown next-gen from the ground up then they really have low expectations of their system.
If I was and X1 owner I'd get Titanfall but I want to buy next-gen systems for "next-gen" games not half-assed transitional games that can be played on bi-generational hardware.
Killzone: SF/Drive Club/Rime/Dying Light/PS2 will bri...
And look at what happened to those games that targeted 30fps. Many couldn't even maintain the frame-rate and even sacrificed the resolution output more "visuals".
Bleagh.. Cheap visual tricks on the cost of performance is exactly the reason why so many games don't play well.
I think they are. Isn't the new PS4 exclusive "Everybody returns to Rapture" using the CE?
LOL, a cross-gen game is worth bragging about. Your expectations are unbelievably low for an X1/360 game.
The problem with your comment is that your emphasis too much value on the franchise rather than observe whether or not these "lite" games are shoehorned into it.
I agree with Rikitatsu because these franchises have it's own individual story. It's not the same as Mario where the character itself is a template where you can design games around him. Nathan Drake, Nathan Cole etc have stories most of which is already been explained in the main series. These ...
No, I think they've optimized the LOD/DOF before textures are streamed. Assuming the console version would deliver - imagine what it would be like for the PC when you push it an extra bit high. Add to that extra resolution? I'll rather wait for the PC version instead as I want the best possible experience possible.
The thing is with DD is how would Steam itself would compete with scalpers. This isn't like a "used" sale where clearly the physical product is being used. Here the DD code is EXACTLY the same.
E.G. XX game gets 9.99 Scalper compete's with a lower price. How is steam going to gain profit from that?
If we are allowed to "resale" our game then the value of DD is changed significantly. As such, Steam sales would be the first to go as it is the main reason why so many feel comfortable purchasing a non-tradable copy.
According to Cerny, yes. The reason why Knack wasn't developed on the PS3 is that a "year's dev" time was eliminated when designed for the PS4.
Not to mention the development to set-up a working prototype will rival that on the PS1, so any extra development time that was wasted in the past systems can now be focused on actual game design. Imagine TLOU with faster and more refined polish than the state it is today.
Other than Dark Souls, I don't really see any other Japanese titles taking risks aside from the upcoming Japan Studio games.
This makes it the 3rd Naughty Dog game after Crash Bandicoot (the only western game that sold more than 1 million copies that region) gaining traction in Japan.
Oh oh, even Japan seems to like this game. I think J-Blaze is on cardiac arrest ATM.
"It's really only good for one play through since there's really only one way to play it."
Seems like you're criticising for the sake of being contrarian and this is reaching it. Almost every game has only ONE way to play it, why aren't you elaborating on this?
I can respect the people and what they "choose" to believe but I do NOT have to respect their beliefs. Hitler believed his race to be the superior one should I respect his belief?
You guys didn't get the reference. LAME!
