Insane stuff. I have to agree though that the indie community and artists should stop toying with the idea, and just come up with a project similar, not 100 percent exact.
Going back to last year, they did mention one of the reasons why they picked UE3 was for multi-platform development. besides that the game is actually too soon to be announced on PC, they just released two games some time ago. i'm sure they're going to be spacing the releases.
"The footage of final version will come out sometime in 2017"
That's a long time away. This game will either be 2018 or simply the generation after.
Not shocked in the slightest. A majority Of Expos display "target" footage, and allow testers to test prototypes. it's not unusual for prototypes to display 50 or even 25% of a target. the testing industry exists to test and send feedback. I would be surprised if the target isn't reached on it's release.
when i Look at the division i wonder how much in the future are we talking about. It's a shame that the GTX680 was removed from being the back bone to the project.
And yet they had the audacity to say that the PC version wouldn't suffer. http://gamerant.com/the-div...

Applying the same logic, I think ANY exclusive wouldn't be able to compete with a multiplat for sales.
"PlayStation 4 makes way more money for Ubisoft than Xbox One"
Is that supposed to be a good thing? I'd rather have quality games rather than making them rich. so far this gen their quality has been lacking.
"would like to do Alan Wake 2"
Now there's a title that could do with more games. After QB i would really like to see another AW game.
I don't know yet for sure. what does sadden me a little is how the citizens look more identical to the world we live in.

It'd be a little difficult to imagine how the original lore of FFVII is applied to the world similar to ours, without hitting a sense of comedy somewhere. (thugs ridding chocobos, The weapons) It's almost The same roadblocks with FFXV, but we'l...
Indeed UE4 is much different than all the engines before. with the right artist it can look amazing. The engine also supports lots of new features and will soon support DX12. UE4 can also be used to make movies, it has features for it.
Install your games to an external drive (to avoid reinstalling) and set Steam to big picture mode, done, nothing complex about that. Beyond it the burden of networking exists throughout all devices.
Lars from brutal legend?
Sounds great, This game is going to be sick. I also hope they continue to improve AI.
"its to expensive to own a gaming PC"
It counter balances, with pc you get to keep your game selection which takes away the need to repurchase old games. You can save yourself $500 easily by not buying into 1080p and 4k versions of games when they come out.
To be fair Uncharted 4 is still being optimized. there is a noticeable difference in NPC quality though. the developers of Uncharted 4 said they planed to do all the characters in multiple LODs last year. Ryse's characters are done in a single 85k poly LOD.
The original link For Uncharted 4's characters info is dead but here's the statement.
- “A main character in a cinematic game like Uncharted will also use multiple models per character, each wi...
The quality of game has a lot to do with developer input. The PC platform has access to the tools and whatnot, but this doesn't mean that a developer can't still be sloppy, put framerate caps or make their games to look a certain way. If a developer has parity in a contract then there's little anyone can do other than to frown upon the practice.
looks good for ps4.
I'm not really surprised by it. It was originally mentioned 2 years ago it was going to be 60fps. They're not going to all of a sudden take that back. That would make the E3 presentation useless.
That definitely is a PS controller, but they Didn't specify it. No licencing info of any platforms was listed on the FB page or website.
Beyond that The video isn't breaking any rules though for showing a controller in a personally made video. it is also mentioned in the link that what we saw won't be in the final product.
"It’s worth noting that while everything you saw is actual gameplay footage of the game, that slice of gameplay video won...
I haven't played this particular series, i wouldn't know. As for their other games, i never played a codemasters game that never ran good. My on board Intel GPU can play them at 1080p 60 fps.
All i can say is DX12 can't come soon enough. if the practice still persists after, it's all on the developer's poor structure with being up to date.
Epic actually has their latest engine (UE4) support a simple one button click optimization process....
