it includes software dev tools. if that's correct you will be able to modify or add content to the game.

DF @ 13:56 - "so yes these RT reflections are lower on a playstation 5 but they are honestly higher resolution than a number of other ps5 games with RT reflections."
Imagine that. Control's "low" RT settings are actually "high" compared to other ps5 games.
so that makes it currently the only real title that can truly pull off th...

some of these features can still choke new hardware, if used too much. it's almost ludicrous why epic introduced a new engine. some of their older work is still new to games. UE5 no doubt will be awesome but also there is still more that can be done with the engine before.
you don't know what you're talking about. backers are the ones that get to see the game for now.
Chris Roberts - "We’re Making Steady Strides in Progress
Many backers who’ve taken breaks and come back to the game marvel at how much it has progressed, especially since last summer. With each successive patch, from 3.5 to 3.6 to 3.7 and into this year"
"I still think that title goes to Star Citizen."
even in it's incomplete state it's way more polished than cyberpunk...the irony.
@ moongrim "and the fastest PC drive is still faster"
pc will always be making the most frequent advancements in hardware. i still can't believe how way off console gamers were in stating pc's lack of SSD technology. when pc had it months before the next gen launched.
very few console gamers do their research....
it's too complicated with Forza. you need xbox/windows account to access 50% of Forza's features.
driveatars and events are tided to it. which steam has no version for this to port over. that's why it's been stuck on windows.
they spent over a decade making luminous tech demos and they're still having trouble releasing games on this engine. they should probably consider using a newer engine in the future. just for time sake.
@ tech5 "DF suggested this was using selective ray-tracing. never heard of it."
because DF did not conclude this as a definitive answer this was supposition.
based on other game engines using the feature ray-traced reflections are measured in bounces (or passes depending on the direction of measurement.)
It may be that Ratchet is rendering it's reflections at a quarter pass for obvious performance reasons.
(again suppositio...
@ Tech5
agreed. Crysis made gamers upgrade, same with every title with new features. how is this any different?
whether it's a CPU upgrade, GPU, HDD space, or god forbid a sound card upgrade. upgrading is upgrading.
probably a disc less slim edition. which will change the console design shape into either a cube or a thin monolithic rectangle.
PC - gamers "what's the point of bringing this game to pc?"
Console gamer - "to bring them over to buy a ps5."
PC gamers - "well they just killed it for that. no trust, no buy."
the only reason Decima based games have such visuals are for their budgets. beyond that the engine is really not that optimized. as you can tell not even a 14 tflops PC could fix it's internal issues.
it's been 7 years called vaporware. either it's vaporware to them or it's not. console gamers will have to make that choice. if so i would imagine all of it's information to be useless in their debates.
you don't see it in all UE4 games so it's a developer thing. if it can be patched that is a developer thing. also if the textures are made to be lower resolutions then that is also a developer choice.
just about every pc gamer is saying this.
makes it feel so less optimized. good job to the moders!
the quantic dream collection did quite well on pc and no one petitioned for it.
i can only imagine the amount of success for the popular games.
it's up to each individual that doesn't want to keep watching any content.
the world will always keep on turning.
my best guess is Epic will provide a much more cost effective solution for indie developers.
as some may know already there are currently software tools ( which are supper expensive) that can utilize a smart phone as portable mo-cap studio. and for facial mo-cap. it may also be possible that Epic plans on making a similar version for free.
it will be a challenge for pc gamers to be excited for dreams. pc dev tools are on another level. mod support, free deployment, free enterprise, business careers, content creation freedom without moderation.
existing pc tools have lots of possibilities.
