If the console convinces me then sure i would definitely pick it up. personally I've owned a GC and a Wii as well.
" it seems like Konami could be on board with the project. Hernández tells us that the company has been retweeting his progress and are currently in talks about the correct permissions."
No way, totally awesome if it goes legit! Progress is also coming along nicely too. it looks great.
the one with Eva i don't get.
Every game has a particular value in the eye's of the beholder. Undertale in particular speaks to those people, not everyone may see things the same.
jeez how horrible, so sad.
It's tricky with Microsoft balancing a console to support, and also a OS to support. Lets not forget Microsoft was originally into PC gaming years before Xbox. they're particularly interested in cross platform play. Recore is probably for the same reason. I'm pretty sure this is their plan of things.
Games need funding. there are risks but games like movies and other projects need risk takers. how else did popular game creators became popular in the first place. It all starts from low budget projects and then it grows into full scale projects. Kojima, Sakaguchi, Itagaki, and Miyamoto, all of them started out small making 8 Bit games and then grew with technology and demand into bigger companies.
In ANY industry everything starts out from small beginnings.
That sucks.
awesome, we still need to see what this game looks like already!
"Rise of the Tomb Raider Sales Hits One Million But Is it Enough?"
sounds good to me, and it'll keep growing from there.
more phantom disagrees....grow up already.
5 disagrees and no supporting counterclaim? UE4 is from the same programmers that constructed Unreal Engines 1, 2 and 3 but The whole scripting and rendering pipeline is different. It no longer runs UnrealScript.
Quote -"UnrealScript (often abbreviated to UScript) is Unreal Engine's native scripting language used for authoring game code and gameplay events before the release of Unreal Engine 4."

"UE4 is not a brand new engine, it is an updated UE3 with new features."
.....And you know this because you work at Epic or with UE4?
Unreal Engine 4's official webpage -
"The rendering system in Unreal Engine 4 is an all-new, DirectX 11 pipeline that includes deferred shading, global illumination, lit translucency, and post processing as well as GPU particle simulation utilizing vector fields."

I don't use Netflix, this article says "Polaris" though. if anyone has it they could check, might read the same. unless this isn't real.
Eonjay - "Pollux is code for PS4 or for the version on Netflix on that Platform
Polaris is probably code for Xbox One or for the version of Netflix on that Platform"
you mean Netflix IDs?
PS4 reads "pollux", which was codename for sony's tablets. https://wiki.cyanogenmod.or...
Nintendo's is "metroid"

Griever - "I do not think any company has upgraded the graphics hardware (especially GPU) of a home console mid-generation."

Sega also made the SegaCD as well. they made additions way back.
Epic went out of their way to make a game engine and they should deserve no money for their efforts? Instead they should take blame? ...ludicrous.
I also hope you know that you could also make large games using ue4. All you need is the space.
Brutal Legend - Kill Master FTW!!!
Totally loved Brutal Legend. A personal classic in my collection.
- Ian Kilmister RIP.
I'm just hoping that it will at least be open world for the sections that were world map related. I can't imagine it any other way. A good example i can give would be the quests to find and defeat all of the weapon bosses.
I mean how would you be able to locate those bosses without the ability to explore? or the big quest for the Knights of the Round materia? or everyone's master weapons? Those quests were worth their weight in gold.
Square should...
It's not too bad of a series in my opinion, the other games before though were much better imo.
