I just think its funny how this is a brand new review yet it is nowhere on their main page, I can find a link to the Afrika review but not this! Way to support PS3 users IGN.
Reading that made me vomit in my mouth a little. Are people so blind they will just lie down and take it while MS rapes them? At what point do you question something!? MS is like that creepy foriegn filmmaker that gives you a qualude and takes you to a back room to preform sodomy on you - yeah, I just made a Roman Polanski analogy.
I seem to remember a few 360 games that released last year, Gears2 and Fable2 - both of these games got stellar reviews, but in retrospect, those games were actually letdowns. Nobody really plays them anymore, and they barely improved upon their predecessors in sales or quality.
Its refreshing to read a review from a site that doesn't hand out perfect scores like they're going out of style. IMO very few games are actually worthy of a 9 or above - they should be in a league of t...
The gameplay is so damn two dimensional and repetitive. Its long, you finish a level that is nothing but a 1/2 an hour of straight running and gunning, and what does the game do? Throw you in another level with the exact same situation, except the drab setting might be slightly changed from the generic industrial looking building to the generic office building.
And the story is even more of a joke. These people need to turn of the boondock saints. The excessive profanity just c...
Americans will buy any crap - Hummers, Big Macs, rims, etc.
The engine is optimized for the PS3, hence the 1080 visuals, I'd be really surprised if it could run on 360 - the architecture is just too different for such an advanced engine.
Gears, Fable, and Halo - these games are all getting their own version of an expansion pack. I think there is going to come a time when people just want to play something new. DLC can only add so much longevity to a game, eventually they are going to want something new. I can't help but think this time and money would have been better spent dev. a standalone game, but at least they aren't making a sub par sequel I geuss...
yeah, if you could sue everytime someone wrote something on the internet you didn't agree w/ the world would cease to function
I felt cheated by the first one. How many times are they going to make the same game? Sure the graphics might be updated and they might have added focus moves but for the most part it still plays the same as it did nearly 20 years ago!
Is it just my computer or are there a lot of jaggies on that image they used for the story?
Anyways, we all knew this would be a solid racing game, it will be interesting to see how the non-ms endorsed sites rate this game.
As far as MW goes, it really just looks like the same old game w/ a new coat of paint - which don't get me wrong, isn't a bad thing, but from all the positive reviews I've read over U2, this game sounds like its setting a new benchmark. If COD6 really gets GOTY consideration over U2, that would only be a testament to how many more people bought it.
They wouldn't make nearly as much money as an exclusive dev. If anyone were to buy EA, it would be Sony, seeing as how EA games usually sell better on that platform anyways.
Either way, gamers would lose out in the end. Ribbit Ribbit
ODST isn't the first time a Halo title let me down - it seems like they were experimenting with it. Like they were trying new things out to see if they should put it in Reach.
And is it just me, or does bungie like to milk the 3rd person view in all their previews, even though its not part of the game? Could this be a different direction they're moving in?
It might not do much, but what it does it does well. I'd like to see them shake the series up somehow, one o...
Gaming is all about trends. It was only a matter of time before gamers started looking for the next big thing. I think Sony played their cards smart, and rather than try and confront 360 head on for a limited amount of dollars they waited til the time was right.
Make no mistake, its now Sony's turn to shine in the sun. Heavy Rain, God Of War 3, Ratchet and Clank 2, Uncharted 2, The Last Gaurdian, Agent, GT5 - Nintendo and Microsoft are going to have a hard time keeping up w/ a ...
comments like that are why I weep for the future generation
Day 1 buy for me
Just like when they originally came out
Way to rape our wallets capcom. Lets hope this streetfighter isn't just another glorified remake of SFturbo. I'd like to see them make a game that uses that crazy art style, like the one in this trailer. Its about time they did something else w/ this game.
uhhhh, how many times are they going to remake the same thing? You gotta love street fighter, 20 years from now it will be the one game that I will be able to sit down with my kids and still be good at.
Too much of the action in this game is just staged - that was one of my concerns. Sure it looks great when you blow apart a building in game, but its not like you are actually controlling anything that's happening.
The same can be said when you are jumping and climbing. It might of been nice if this game used pressure sensitive controls to measure how hard you jump, instead everytime you hit the jump button you jump the same way, it feels like a pre programmed response. Part of...
Motion Controls = 90% hype 10% reality
I believe it more when I actually see some games being developed for it.
