Not going to happen. That would be an actual sucessor to the Switch, not just a small upgrade.
If it gets improved power, it will be a marginal increase to allow for better performance of current and future games on handheld mode. But don't expect this new revision to be able to play Red Dead Redemption 2.
Well, that isn't too much of a problem for 3DS / Vita owners. If they accept that, they will accept smaller controls for a smaller version of the Switch. If you don't like it, then just buy the current model I guess.
Nintendo has always made price cuts to their consoles, though. Your post is based only on the Wii U's history, which was the exception, not the rule. Everything else went down in price at a normal and expected pace (game consoles, that is, not the actual games, which is another matter entirely).
Yeah, I'll never understand that. They hired Amy Hennig, famous for her linear action-adventure single player games, and then choked her and ultimately closed the studio because they apparently didn't want her to make a linear action-adventure single player game. WTF were they thinking?
Repetitive? Sure. But you can apply that to pretty much any game.
Boring? That's subjective. Fortnite is boring as fuck for me, but I totally understand why other people find it so entertaining.
Apparently this game is set in the 1800's. So yeah, you won't be seeing Harry and friends here if true, lol. This could even predate Dumbledore, who was born in 1881 according to Rowling.
Watch one of them change the name to Avalanche Games, to clear away the confusion.
Give me a break. GOW is amazing, but it hasn't hasn't taken a risk that wasn't taken before, that's just hyperbole. And saying it ignited single player games again... Lol what? Single player games weren't dying or anything, dude. Another hyperbole.
Now bathe me in disagrees.
Two wrongs don't make a right.

"A handheld game console is a small, portable self-contained video game console with a built-in screen, game controls, and speakers.[1] Handheld game consoles are smaller than home video game consoles and contain the console, screen, speakers, and controls in one unit, allowing people to carry them and play them at any time or place."
...
Handhelds are consoles. What you mean to say is that it's a handheld console, not a home console. WIth which I can agree, it's a portable first, which can work as a home console if you want to.
Nope, it cramps me a lot, too, and on top of that, motion controls are really limited in handheld mode. It's still loads better than any other portable game console I've ever played, but it's still nowhere near as comfortable as a proper controller.
To me, it's still acceptable considering no handheld console is really comfortable to use for extended periods of time (not to me at least). Switch is better than the others in that regard. Try playing with a 3DS...
He said handheld.

You assume he has a PC powerful enough to play this game. Or maybe he doesn't even have a PC.
It's also unrealistic to expect it on digital titles because the Switch's architecture is totally different from the Wii U's.
Nobody cared about backwards compatibility on the Wii, let alone the Wii U. And those consoles where compatible with all games of their previous generation since day one.
Backwards compatibility is a nice thing to have, but it doesn't make or break a console at all.
"Victory"? What are you, 5?
I own a PS4 and I will buy RDR2 for it if needed, but I'd much rather play it on my PC.
Exactly what I'm thinking.
Watch Nintendo call it the New UnSwitch XS to fuck up customers' minds. XD
