We still don't have actual data on how much faster the switch is compared to the wii u right? I think they are about the same in terms of processing power, maybe the switch is slightly faster in docked mode but can't be alot? It's just very unlikely from my pov that we will see regular third party titles on the switch. Nintendo is just doing the same thing they did with the wiiu, they make it look like they have the popular third parties on board. Won't fall for that again... ...
Yeah, I don't get that. Nintendo basically invented the analog triggers and now they have completely abandoned them? Just don't make sense.
As a wii u owner this decision is very easy.
Dude it's not save. It's a. Similar product for a similar price, the 3ds will be gone in 1-2 years. Don't let them lie to you.
Haven't been here for a few months. Is n4g now an official Playstation site? It's all people talk about... Or are they just payed to write stuff about ps4?
We don't even know if nx is a regular console... We know about as much as Jon Snow.
I don't even wanna play those games if they were free. Yawn...
The windows store doesn't even compare to steam. It's not even close. I downloaded forza apex through it, that's a F2p game and even that was not a good experience. Can't even change the language of the game...
The reasons we play on PC are really not the graphics alone... in these days the consoles have some amazing graphics! For me it's choice of controllers, price and availability of games, mod/tweak support and must play exclusives.
The only way the xb1 gains is by getting good games. That's all that counts.
The only issue the XboxOne (and the ps4 from my point of view) have are the games. Both of them have only one or two games that justifies a purchase everything else is much better on PC. The only reason ever to buy a console in my opinion is because of the games.
Yeah everyone said that with the wii u and look how it turned out... Btw i have a wii u and it's a great system, but I'd suggest the wait and see game from anything nintendo these days.
Yes it basically is. It has its limitations because of the hardware at the time but other than that it's as open world as games get. What people tend to forget, most story based open world games are still very linear.
Wii u is an OK console with some great exclusives but nothing much else. It's not a main system it's a secondary system (like any console for me). I've enjoyed many games on the wii u and still am, but if I didn't have my pc as a main system I would be bored constantly. On average there is one interesting title per year on the wii u...
I personally still love the map on a touchscreen concept open world games have on the u. It's better than anything else.
Agreed, it's a great addition for a pc. The thing is if you just look at the games I'd still prefer the wii u over the ps4 as a second console as a pc gamer (I'm talking only about my specific situation). Because most of the ps4 games are multiplat while the wii u has really amazing exclusives.
But yes the wii u is full bc with the wii. It's not emulation, when entering wii mode the processor gets clocked down to match the wii etc.
I think GTA V and mabye Just Cause 3 have the most realistic looking water, especially the waves feel very real. But the most time I've spent looking at water must have been the mighty MORROWIND. That game was the first with modern water effects, before it was just brown flat texture but with morrowind you had those ripples... And then when it was raining! OMG. Now this is standard but back then it was a whole new world :) And then combined with the soundtrack? They just don't make em...
If you never had a ps3 I would recommend buying a used one for cheap on Craigslist or something. It's really worth it because there are soo many amazing exclusives. I'm a PC gamer but I got a sweet deal on a ps3 with a lot of games (I bought and played almost all exclusives and more) for about the price of 2 regular games.
There is no shame in it :D
@bolimekurac (I actually know what your name means Btw :D)
The xb1 and both the ps4 can produce beautiful graphics at around 1080p or slightly below and render at 30fps. That doesn't change the fact that the hardware compared to more recent graphics cards and CPUs is pretty weak in terms of processing power.
That's why midrange PCs (~gtx970) can output the same games at 1080p and up at 60fps.
For me and my situation the wii u was the perfect console. I'm a pc gamer who wanted to try something else. I loved it and still do. I mean it's a console, so there are various issues but I get hardware to play games and the wii u has some amazing titles.
Also I went away for a few months a few years ago and was able to take my wii u with me and have some fun without the need of a TV!
