That was never the goal though. Ubisoft clearly wants this to be like CoD. Make the same game every year and everyone spends full price + micro transactions. It's not gonna work for a single player story based game ofc but that's what they keep doing.

I really hope they don't change anything. The game was more or less perfect the way it was in terms of story. The characters, the relationships, the world and especially the tone. I will buy it if they keep the story as original as possible. If they add additional scenes, or even change things, trying to make the different tone of the second part a better fit I'm not interested and I'd rather play the PS4 version again.

Totally... Also how can I forget the shitshow that is D2R when I get the daily reminder with the queue system that blizz these days can't even set up an online structure for a 20y old game.

True game of the year imho is HalfLife Alyx. While TLOU2 is cool and all, I'd argue there is nothing special about it. It's just more of the same, a typical high quality naughty dog game. Hl Alyx though changes the game. It's an innovative masterpiece.

I get that it's not the same. It's just such a minor thing... At this point console parity is kinda getting in the way of innovation. It literally doesn't matter what system you get (PC, xbox, PS) apart from exclusives.

I don't know... The xbox one also had special vibrating triggers. It's cool I guess.

Clickbait title. It says in the article you need a rtx3070 for 1440p with ultra Raytracing enabled. At 1080p with no Raytracing you will be just fine with 10 series nvidia cards...
(I have a 2070 and Raytracing is nice to have but you will enjoy the game just as much without it!)

Cool. Sadly it's the kind of game I don't even wanna play for free. Not worth my time.

?? What have warranties do to with anything?

It makes sense. Selling games to all the ps4 users makes more money than just ps5 users. Adoption rate will be slower but I'd say profits on whole are bigger.
Btw: don't buy things at launch.. You will spend more and there will be problems.

You do realize that the 3000 are priced exactly the same as the 2000 series right? The 2070 was 499$ at launch and the 2080 was 699$. There was an outcry with the 2000 series and now suddenly the same prices are great? What? The real story is that the GTX 970 (the same midrange card as the 3070 at the time) was 329$ ! at launch.

It's another one of those situations where you see how the media is out of touch with actual gamers / users of technology. These new cards are all super high end and only make sense for 4k/60fps gaming. To drive the 3000 cards you need very recent and expensive CPUs or you'll be bottlenecked. And there are still very few games that actually support the biggest features of the cards! (Ray tracing & dlss)
I mean yeah probably more will come but most people will buy a new ca...

Glad my decision back in the day was: cool, I'll buy it when it's done. This whole business with paying for unfinished products is just bad for the consumer... All they do is sell you hopes and dreams. Don't even preorder!!

"People expected to play as Ellie with Joel killing bad guys and happily ever after."

That's a very bad story, nobody would like that(no offense). Actually writing a good story is very difficult. That's what makes it so unique when we got something like TLOU1. I guess the main issue is that writing good sequels which you haven't planned from the beginning is even harder than writing a good story... And since the MCU people actually expect good sequels ...

The only thing one can do in his position is apologise for the letdown and promise to do better next time. That's how a good businessman would operate because he cares if his customers like the product.
People don't like fictional works like video games because their race/gender/sexual orientation is represented. How is that so hard to understand? I very much enjoy asian martial arts movies. Nothing about me is represented in those movies at all but I love them! They make me ...

I don't see how "review bombing" is an issue. People don't like something, they're entitled to voice their opinion. When you look at the reviews it's very apparent that a lot of people think the story of TLOU 2 is pretty bad.
We have very good tools to show what makes a story work and why this one fails. It has nothing to do with lgbtq+. One of the main issues I see over and over is that a relationship in a story is not automatically good writing when the ch...

Characters that happen to be homosexual are not the issue at all. The trap that so many writers fall into, is that they stop writing right there. Being gay is not a character. Characters need to have a history and depth and you have to make them feel human. They need to struggle, cry, fall and rise again. Their sexual orientation is pretty much all the same. Imho it's a shame that writers take the lazy path with so many lgbt characters and just try to cash in with virtue signaling. It'...

I'm looking forward to playing ff7 remake. But I think I'll wait for the full release of all episodes. Don't like split up games..
