Agreed but game length isn't everything. That time also needs to be fun. I've played games that feel boring very quickly even though there is still a lot of content in it.
What always helps for me are good characters and an interesting story. W3 looks good so far (played the starting area).
How about you start making some new games instead of milking us with ports of old ones?
Now we all know why consoles will never be backwards compatible. They can sell us all the games again!
Flaming aside, I enjoy a good remake. Like resident evil 1 lately. But the same exact game with higher resolution and fps? Nope. They are basically selling you graphic options as a new game.
@ippiki: dude... sure texture resolution and rendering resolution are different things. But they are not dependant on each other. On PC in almost all cases you can chose your rendering resolution and your texture resolution with different settings. Usually called "resolution" and "texture quality". You can set those to any level you want.
Now your max resolution is determined by your display. If you have a 1080p monitor/TV that is the highest _native_ resolution yo...
Nothing against people that collect action figures and amibo and stuff - but I don't get it. What is the point of these little statues?
The big problem for me is that mobile gaming is not about quality. I've really tried gaming with my phone for a while and even bought a gamepad for it etc. The best mobile games are old console games played through an emulator. Those are quality games.
But all these plucked together free to play bullshit (excuse me but it's true) mobile titles are not even worth your time. I've basically just given up on playing mobile games or even looking in the play store for them... ...
I loved the freedom of the first one and the story line about ezio and altair which ultimately made me cry in AC Revelations. You were with those characters for their whole life basically and seeing it come to an end was something special.
After that nothing made sense anymore in AC. For me it's a textbook situation for what happens when you don't plan ahead. Until revelation the story was clearly worked out and made sense and had alot of mystery to it. Character arcs worked ...
@chrono joe: I don't think people are saying that Uplay is so bad you won't buy ubisoft games anymore. But it's just annoying. It adds nothing, no value, it servers no purpose. I wish it would go away.
I don't think I'll ever buy a ubisoft game full price anymore . I got unity for free with my grafics card and recently bought watchdogs for like 20bucks. Im satisfied with both purchases. But these yearly releases just aren't worth the 80 Francs (1 Fr. = 1 Dollar, almost) they cost on release day here where I live.
But I have to be honest this AC has to blow me away(story wise!) , or I'm basically done with the series. The gameplay is not interesting enough anymore to ...
I'd like to love ac. But recently they make it so hard to love it. I still enjoy the game and everything but the control of my character could always be better and the stories... well, they are nothing compared to the ezio/altair storyline. I used to search the whole game for story bits and pieces, played every little side thing because there was always something interesting to find. Now I just don't care anymore. I give it a rough one time play through and that's it. Not worth fu...
Every time Microsoft is showcasing something xb1 related they mess it up :D it started with the xb1 announcement at E3 where you had titan PCs at the xb1 stations... And the worst thing for me, they think we are stupid. They think no one is going to notice. At this point I'm automatically assuming something is fishy when I see xb1 footage....
I played watchdogs only recently with the worse mod (on pc). The graphics were simply amazing. Especially the nature area or the city by night when it was raining. But of course that was a mod and almost a year after the game was initially released.
It's a weird situation. They have the better effects in the game files but don't let you use them? In my 20 years of gaming I've never seen that happening before.
Yeah that should work :) But I guess I don't want Cortana "listening" all the time. I'm a fan of turning stuff off completely if I don't use it.
I have different platforms as well (PC, PS3, WiiU) and I really look forward to this title. I can't wait to fly around in my MECH! Also I loved Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii so I'm pretty sure this game will be good.
Will this game ever be officially out? :/
There is one simple way to stop pre-orders: Don't buy it. But it seems that alot of people like pre-ordering games so it is a viable business strategy. As long as they don't get a crazy unfair item as a bonus which would make it mandatory to pre-order I couldn't care less. Just don't pre-order and forget that it exists.
I'm totally not a fan of preordering and this early access and day one DLC etcetc. It's all complete bullshit and should go away. But ...
Just get a wireless controller (I suggest PS4 controller because of the touchpad) and connect your PC to your TV via HDMI... I game like that since 3 years.
Also get one of those wireless keyboards with integrated touchpad. It's a whole new experience :)
That's how you make "innovations" these days. Take a popular feature and take it away. Then one version later you put it back in and sell it as a new feature.
I'm pretty happy with win 8.1 at the moment. It's not perfect of course and that's why I'm kinda looking forward to win10. The most annoying thing right now is that they have two different UIs in one OS. On a desktop PC the Tablet/Modern UI sucks and on a Tablet the regular Desktop UI sucks. And sti...
Do how about some new games? I can't really remember when I played something really fresh for the last time. Probably the wii u exclusives. Apart from that...
PC looks better. ORLY?
After playing for many hours already I haven't had any issues with the game and my hardware. Sorry go disappoint you but the witcher 3 has been the most bug free open world rpg that I've played.
Runs good, looks good, has interesting stories. Haven't regretted my money.
