And how about the fact that in 2022 Xbox will have only published Pentiment, As Dusk Falls and Grounded. That’s it in 2022 unless we get a surprise.
Sony has released Horizon, MLB, Uncharted for PS5, Gran Turismo, and have The Last of Us and God of War coming.
That’s highly overlooked because of “Gamepass”
You’re telling me in a library of 700 games I’ve probably already played most of them? Hmmm
that’s a heck of an assumption.
I went through the list and highlighted 50-70 games (didn’t keep count) that I would consider playing, including Valhalla which only started to get discounted recently. I see plenty of value for $100 (keep in mind I’m already paying for PS Plus so it’s really only $50 I’m value we have to consider for the upgraded tier)
3 kids who play games on top of myself. Very easy to hit that amount.
I mean yeah I’m blessed to be able to afford it I know not everyone does. But I also don’t buy into the fact that a lot of people don’t spend that much. People spent that much in 1 week at the bar, fast food and Starbucks. $100 isn’t that much
If you own a PC, Xbox and PS 5-10 years ago you could easily spend that much on games.
Especially having 3 kids.
I don’t understand how anyone in the world can get upset for having a library like this for $100 annually.
Are you going to play all 700? Of course not. But guarantee for the price of less than 2 video games a year you’re going to find 20-30 games that can keep you busy. Not to mention the potential future of exclusives and partnerships they inevitably will procure.
Every gamer should celebrate MS and Sony instead of looking for reasons to bash Sony a...
im pretty sure Death Stranding is around 5-6 mil and Days Gone sold like 8-9 mil.
well last time I checked you must pay monthly, quarterly or yearly for PS Plus....so by definition it is a subscription service.
I get what you mean.....but you are factually wrong by saying PS Plus isn't a subscription service.
Played Devil May Cry since it was free for Prime Members. Played it on my TV which is a Fire TV. Ran perfectly smooth. Pretty cool to have the perk of getting rotating free games through Luna.
@frostypants if you're still waiting for a worthy success for L4D then you haven't played Deep Rock Galactic or Vermentide. Although both are different, they are more than worth of successors of the genre. You will never probably find a game that exceeds L4D. L4D has the advantage of basically launching a genre and capturing the magic of never playing something of that type before with that much quality. If you're still holding onto the past that much, then there is no point i...
@RickRoland it was the top selling new IP in 2021 on consoles. So that means a huge amount of people did invest their hard earned money, and didn't just rely on GamePass. I'm curious to know how you know a small number of people played after launch? Sounds to me if we're using your logic, then people are still playing it because they spent their own money on the game.
The game was generally well reviewed and in no way was a bad game. It was an above average ...
US NPD group said it was the best-selling new IP on consoles in 2021.
I don't think they are basing success on number of players played. They are basing it as well on how many people bought the game. if it was the top selling new IP, that means they had some good sales, and they got that $$$ from Microsoft to have it on GamePass.
Seems to me the game was a success based off of those facts.
I don't know why everyone is trying to knock down Horizon just because Elden Ring comes out a week later. People need to get a life.
Both are going to be pinnacle of open world games, just in different ways. They are also both GOTY quality.
Not everyone enjoys Dark Souls combat and difficulty, and the tone of the games. Some people enjoy killing robot freaking dinosaurs. Both games have amazing lore to enjoy. And believe it or not, some people en...
way better? lol. Horizon's graphics are stupid good. Even if you prefer Elden Ring, you can't objectively say it's
"way better graphically".
You're such a turd.
Huh? Every game they've released has been between like an 87 and 92. Who said it was going to be scored around 80?
Where do you people come up with these fake underdog stories for Elden Ring.
literally nobody said this game wouldn't be good. Even people that don't like Souls-likes understood this would be a well received game.
No idea why you're even posting that besides for attention
You're laughing at them.....yet here you are admitting you bought the game and DLCS and haven't even played them.
So I'm pretty sure they know more about the industry than you....
exactly my point. Between the sales they provide, and the $10 coupons they hand out all the time, I've saved a ton of $$$ using Epic Games. Originally just wanted the free games, but here we are.
Not mad about it either.
Originally, you're probably right. That's why I made an Epic Games account.
Now i've purchased probably 8 to 10 games because their discount was the best at the time. Not to mention they keep giving me $10 off coupons. So I can get really good games for $5 to $15 when they are on sale.
It's a brilliant strategy to get people on the platform and into the ecosystem. And quite frankly as a gamer who cares about his $$$, I'm glad I h...
@JEECE We don’t know that answer yet. Witcher 3 is at 30 Mil sales and it’s 6-7 years old. Cyberpunk is only 15 months old and we know it’s over 17 Mil. One thing we know, people will give a game a 2nd chance (No Man’s Sky, FF 14).
This game is going to see some heavy discounts now on Steam and Stores and people will start buying it over the next 1-2 years and it will get near 30 Mil eventually over time as more people get Series X and PS5s.
So for y...
Ultimate yes.
If you stream using Xbox PC App I believe it has to be Xbox controller. I think I’ve tried PS and it acts a little wonky or doesn’t recognize.
If You stream through the browser it doesn’t matter what controller you use. I use PS sometimes when streaming on browser or on my tablet.
