Here comes the obligatory “Wow i was looking at buying Immortals Fenyx Rising, golly gee this is great!”
Even though this game was well reviewed and has been out almost 2 years and has been on sale for $20 and under every other month the past year. Have to imagine GameStop even cheaper possibly.
Hate people that say they were looking to buy a game when it hits GP, just to say it. It’s 2 years old, no you weren’t.
How could Sony not be amazing in 2022 when we're only halfway through the year? Don't get how you review a year in July. And they've had GT7, Horizon and MLB The Show, all pretty good games, and have God of War and The Last of Us coming.
The real question is, with MS being a company that literally prints money, does any gamer on Earth really give a shit about the profits of MS Gaming? Or do we really only care about the games we've been promised for the past couple years and are still waiting on?
Why is this even a conversation to anyone outside of people that have stock, employees at the company, or nerds in finance?
yeah everything runs fine on One S and X for me. I've even streamed some games from console hooked up on ethernet and gameplay is fine. It's funny because doing this gives you the benefit of the fast load times of the Series console with a little downgrade of resolution without needing the new console.
it just joined Gamepass less than 2 weeks and it's your most played xbox game all year?
Might say more about yourself as a gamer. I'm by no means a GP slappy but been plenty of decent games to play over a 6 months period.
Technically once that deal goes through they are out $70 Bil so it doesn't automatically make next year better.
If you have GamePass and haven't tried out Yakuza LAD I would argue you have no real interest in playing that either. It's been there over a year.
Just honest truth.
There are free to play games you can play online without needing subscription. Have at it.
Yes it sucks paying the fee, but do you remember how the internet ran on games back before MS and Sony charged for the online subscription? Think of how bad it was back then compared to how it is now. It's not like your money is going towards nothing. They still have costs to maintain the infrastructure and servers required to connect these online games to you. I would argue ...
Gotta have extremely fast boot times to play the zero 1st party releases in 2022.
Oh my bad they have As Dusk Falls and Pentiment
It makes sense what you’re saying, but the idea makes zero sense.
When you die in games like those you are reloading a save from a PAST time before you encountered that character. So that character killing you essentially never happened. So the nemesis system makes no sense, The mechanic and story is extremely disconnected.
Your idea isn’t bad, it just has to be implemented in games where death and resurrection makes sense and isn’t just a re-load.
The thing most people are overlooking is you need a story tie-in that explains the game mechanic. Like if you’re playing an open world game, and you die, and you just reload your last save, the nemesis system would make zero sense because they can’t kill you and then you rewind time to a save point.
So NO this system wouldn’t make sense I’m every open world RPG. You would need a resurrection mechanic that explains how you die and come back to life which not every game can ...
I didn’t read the article so if any repeated sorry.
I feel like the Nemesis system would be brilliant
If the Gods were involved somehow. We definitely need to feel more invested in the characters in the system, they can’t just be minions. Like for example, in the next installment if it were set in Egyptian mythology, there are many lesser Gods you could setup in the Nemesis System that could have personalities, motivations and powers etc that would vary. And you ...
@alb1899 I mean they've had Shadow Warrior 3 and Stray in 2 months. They've already started the Day One process and it's only going to grow
Obviously you don't have any clue that GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming do not have native apps on the Apple Store.
And on top of that, go play Horizon Forbidden West on a PS5, then go play Halo Infinite on your tablet streaming. While streaming is 100% awesome (I use it all the time), no streaming compares to the native experience on playing on these new consoles. FOR NOW, the consoles are going to be the best support for the subscriptions. Next generation might ve...
She was the executive producer for AC2, Splinter Cell Blacklist, launched the Watch Dogs franchise, managed Far Cry 4. Launched EA Motive which made Star Wars Squadrons. Financially stable and brave enough to form her own game studio.
She’s worth more of a crap than some loser bashing her on an Internet forum
People can say what they want about Bungie. On steam alone they’ve had a 30 day average of 58k players daily. 5 years after release
For a game that gets shit on constantly it still has hundreds of thousands of players, probably millions playing it across all platforms.
They’re obviously doing something right.
Good news is your hopes don’t have to be high. This is in addition to the AAA worthy properties Sony already puts out.
People want to say “let the games do the talking, don’t give me promises without having anything to show me”. And at the same time they hypocritically bash the project before even seeing one detail on the game.
Ok but that’s every freaking studio nowadays. Look at Microsoft. They purchased like 500 companies and in 3 years they havent released 1 fucking game. Everything is TBA
Yeah exactly. That’s what I was trying to sell to people on just going for the top tier. T
I personally find value in service in current state, but considering the games that will hit the
Service Day* 1 from 3rd parties in the next 6 months, you will see a good ROI on your investment just like GamePass.
Can’t go wrong
I have GamePass. I use it often enough. I enjoy it. Has any game on the platform over the last couple years changed my life? Not really. We’ll worth the money still though for the variety.
I’m just calling BS on anyone who says they were looking at buying IFR. It literally sounds like a walking advertisement thing to say.
