Slander isn't slander when it's true. Fish really was an asshole.
Gotta agree. It's nice to see a system/game you like doing well but some people are just silly. 'X sold more/less than Y so it's better/worse' gets pretty tiring after a while. People bringing up sales when discussing how well something is doing is fine but when people start using it as an indicator of quality or value I just start shaking my head. Sales don't determine how much I enjoy my games, lol
I don't get why everyone's complaining about an 8. Just because some sites like to give out 7's and 8's like candy doesn't mean that an 8 is bad or mediocre. 8 usually means 'great with a few flaws'. 9 is 'amazing with almost no flaws or flaws that hardly detract from the experience' and 10 being either 'perfect' or 'amazing with any flaws being superfluous or almost non-existant'.
Everybody's ridiculous in this game and that's part of why I like it.
I don't get this line of reasoning. If they change things up with their series, like they do, and try to make improvements then what's the problem with a long-running franchise?
Didn't someone already explain earlier that there's some weird rule in Japan that indies cannot self-publish and that this wasn't a purely Nintendo thing?
They mentioned their next game will be multiplayer, so hopefully.
Considering they can have Kenjiro Tsuda (Seto Kaiba), Atsuko Tanaka (Major Kusanagi, Lara Croft, Chun-Li, and Trish), Hiroki Yasumoto (Yasutora 'Chad' Sado, Germany, Guile), Asami Imai (Kurisu Makise, Chihaya Kisaragi, Ikaruga, Noire [Black Heart]), Unsho Ishizuka (Jet Black, Mr Satan/Hercule, Van Hohenheim, Zabuza Momochi, Ryotaro Dojima, Prof. Oak, Heihachi Mishima) and Kikuko Inoue (Belldandy, Minerva, Lust, Miki Hiiragi, Kasumi Tendo, Rosemary, The Boss) narrate the whole game, it...

Disagreeing=/=butthurt
>hurt by the truth
That's implying he's hurt, which he doesn't seem to be, and that what you said is undeniably fact.
>Why do you think the media reports sales figures if nobody should care about them?
Because people like to see how well/poorly a game is doing. Some people take this a bit too far, however.
The Japanese Wii U fanbase is, what, 1 mil and Pikmin 3 has sold 133k in two weeks? Pretty nice actually. Getting over 13% of your customers to buy a game in two weeks is pretty decent. Let's see how the sales do in later weeks and how it does in EU and NA.
There's pretty much always 'Strings Attached' in business.
>The reason the games did so well in the past was because they were turnbased and they kept the formula all the way up to FF10.
They didn't. This seems to be a common misconception that FF was always turn-based an only recently moved away. Games as early as IV moved away from the turn-based system and used the ATB system or a variant of it and came back to it with X.
So most FF games, starting with IV, were bad? Seeing as they mostly used the ATB system instead of a turn based one.

It's actually a good article saying most of the stuff is overblown and out of proportion.
Did you read the article and how she said the same thing happens with guys in video games as well? She's not some Kotaku feminazi crying about cleavage, she's actually pretty much telling those people to shut up and stop crying because someone said you look hot or there was a busty character in a videogame.
@Lord_Sloth below
Ah, my bad lol. Hard to establish intent on the internet.
Not really. Looking pretty or handsome while playing games doesn't mean you can't be against unfair treatment due to gender. She actually seems to know what she's talking about unlike a lot of people that cry sexism. She acknowledges that both genders in video games are often taken to extremes and that having someone take a picture of you or flirt with you isn't the same as being sexually harassed, molested, or denied a job because of your gender.
XV is Versus XIII, they just changed the name.
Many of the FF games people call 'classic/old school FF' used the ATB system, now hush.
Last I checked the Wii U still has games coming out, so how is it 'dead'?
