Why does everyone think it's a great idea to have Nintendo work for MS/Sony? The only time they've failed a console was the VB. They pretty much always found a way to make a profit with that exception. If you want Nintendo developed games, get a Nintendo console. If you want Sony developed games, get a Sony console. They have no reason to go work for someone else while they still make money.

Agree with your points except for the attachment rate 'always' being lower, as Mario Kart had, like, a 33% rate and Wii Sports had 80%, which is crazy even for a game that got bundled with the system.

The flaw with your argument is that you're taking your personal experience and making a blanket statement about an entire company and a CEO who has actually gone on record saying they screwed up which disproves your 'fantasy world' comment. In what world is 100 million sales not a success? Also, the US often had the highest Wii sales numbers so why would they be the ones not 'carrying the Wii name'?

I wouldn't have much of a problem if they simply said they wouldn't expect to recoup costs unless the install base was bigger. However, they claim hardware issues when even indie devs have been saying it's easy to develop for, so how come relative amateurs are having an easier time than Bethesda, who have been around for a while now?

>hardware issues

Like? Because others have said it's easy to develop for so what's the problem? Sounds like a cop out for 'We don't think we'd make money'.

I was actually nervous when reading the title, turns out it was actually a good thing. Nice to see Nintendo pushing Bayonetta 2 to its fullest.

We saw what was about 20 seconds of quick, blurry game footage in a trailer likely meant to set tone. We have no idea what the game is going to be like, other than some sort of RPG which has become and incredibly broad genre. The first trailer near the end implied some sort of multiplayer so a pseudo-MMO wouldn't surprise me. Then there's the fact that all we have are two trailers, one not even a minute long, and a few comments. Nobody has promised or betrayed you because there has be...

This is great, but come on. It took almost 7 years to get this far. Do you really think it'll beat 100 mil? These are great sales, but let's be realistic here: if it did beat the Wii, it would likely be well into next-gen when this generation's sales wouldn't even matter. And even then, would such a belated and lethargic 'victory' be worth celebrating? It'd be like competing in a race of total distance only to keep going after it ended and the next one has started,...

Gonna agree. Maybe it was partly due to my gaming system variety when growing up (Sega Genesis, N64, all the previous gen systems including the Dreamcast[RIP]) made me immune to the 'us or them' mentality a lot of people have but I'm glad I don't share in it. The only console company I actually find I dislike is Microsoft, and even then I don't dislike their products, just how they've been acting. I can understand friendly ribbing (I give my friend shit a lot) but ther...

To be fair, DOA does get criticized for its sex appeal, just not nearly as often as Dragon's Crown. Not saying it's right or good, just that it happens at times as well.

The problem happened when she got too personal with the review. You're supposed to be as objective as you can. While many things are subjective (music, how well a story was, how fun it is) you are supposed to rate things sensibly. Music, story, characters (often involved in story but some games have little story but good characters), whether a game looks good or not (fairly subjective at times though there is some amount of objectivity available such as textures and animations), gameplay ...

Polygon has the right to have their opinion and we have the right to say it's a shitty one.

I have to say that MH3U is not a 'Wii port'. It includes content from MHP3 and new content. MH3U in total has about double the content of MH3.

Oh god this review is horrible. It starts out bad by mentioning the Wii U in a 3DS game review and gets worse.

Play as Fighter, Dwarf, Wizard, or Elf then.

I generally only pre-order a game if I know/expect to like it and I expect it to be sold out or if it comes with some sort of physical bonus (artbook, OST, etc.).

@thezeldadoth

Considering their 'brand new engine' was actually the same one they've been using since about 2005 with minor upgrades (which is how they've been doing), I think it's a fair assumption at this point.

The people who do that are the people who will rag on anyone. The amount of times I heard someone say faggot or nigger in an actual derogatory way is pretty high. You being female is simply another facet they can target, not the sole reason they targeted you. As for people that ragged on you when you were obviously female and didn't when you weren't then yeah that's sexist. Otherwise it's simply another way for people to get at you.
