I like the way you think.

They do not have the largest stockpile of cash anymore. I googled this, not sure which year this quote came from-

Here's the exact quote taken from a feature in the latest issue of the UK's Nintendo Gamer magazine: "Buried in reams of financial data is the revelation that Nintendo have 812.8 billion Yen (£6.7/$10.5 billion) in the bank - enough for it to take a 20 billion Yen loss (£163/$257 million) every year until 2052.

Actually many, many, many, many people have posited that Nintendo's next platform may be a hybrid console, and years before you did. As soon as Nintendo announced, I think it was in 2013, that they were merging their handheld and console divisions, many people speculated that this was coming.

I remember buying Secret of Mana as a little kid and how amazed I was at the box art. It seemed so legendary and magical. Man I loved that game, the memories are so vivid. To be a kid again...

While it makes no difference to me in the long run, it should be noted that on Steam when you are in big picture mode, the box art of the game is displayed. I know it's not the same, but I do think it is a cool feature.

I would upgrade to the AMD 6350 at least. Doesn't cost that much more and far out performs the 6300.

A friend of mine just received an X-Box One for his birthday and spent all day doing updates and loading games onto the hard drive. These days it doesn't really matter if you have an optical drive or not, we all end up downloading massive updates and spending a lot of time waiting for the game/s to install onto the hard drive.

It takes me a few hours to download a 50gb game, which is inconvenient I get it, but after you download it, the game is there to be played as much ...

@icheerbothconsoles <---that says a lot about your maturity and it's ironic

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young ...

I think as a brand most definitely yes, but I do not think Sony has yet to match the iconic characters of Nintendo. How many mom's, dad's, grandpa's and grandma's know who Kratos or Nathan Drake are? Most of them know who the Mario brothers are.

But I think this is a pointless conversation. It's just another attempt for Sony fanboys to sound off about how iconic Sony is and how everything else falls a distant second, which anyone with even an modicum of vi...

Same. It is way too broad of a term, unless certain parameters are specifically defined, which they are not. If I were to try and define what a "core" or "hardcore" gamer is my definition probably wouldn't match how other people define it.

In the end I am a fan of video games regardless of the platform and I play just about every genre including the often forgot about 4x games which, no offense to console only gamers, most do not even know exist. To me...

I don't see the R9 370 as a niche card. Many people like to buy cards like that and over clock them in order to save money. Why even buy an R9 370X unless you plan to over clock it when you can get comparable performance while paying less?

Your post is very reasonable. Bubbles.

Exactly. You are right on the money. We already live in a digital universe with our phones, tablets, and notebooks, yet some gamers are afraid of embracing what is to me a much more convenient medium. As long as it's not "always online" like the X1, what exactly is so weird about it?

How do you not really own them? You own the hard drive which contains all of the 1's and 0's which is no different than owning a disc that contains all of the 1's and 0's of the binary code. One difference is that if your disc breaks or is stolen, you have to rebuy it, where if your hard drive breaks, and mine has, I can buy another one and reinstall my games, which ends up being significantly cheaper in the long run. What exactly do have a problem with? It doesn't make se...

How many console gamers have games stored on your HDD? I am going to take a guess that all of you do. Digital seems to be the way the wind is blowing, whether you like it or not. Everyone's smart phone uses digital apps, let me ask you this--would you want a physical copy of those apps, really?

I personally began running out of space storing my video game collection a long time ago and have no problem going all digital. There are pros and cons. One of the pros which few p...

I don't pirate anything. Steam sales, humble bundle, bundle stars etc, are more than enough to get games dirt cheap. Steam library--148 games strong and rising.
