Alright... 9/10... not a bad start. Can't wait to see some other scores roll in. The embargo might make that tough of course.

Oh, wait, I forgot. This is the first game in 5 years that I don't care about the reviews, because it is GOING TO BE EPIC.

This is going to be epic. The scarecrow was unexpected... as was the samurai "statue" stance with the guard walking right by him. 47 as a judge? With that wig? This has got to be an insane story line to fit all of these locations/costumes!

I read the article to give Forbes a chance... they are very out of place it seems:

"It looks like a great game, but I have my concerns. First, there’s the length of gameplay. I think that Elverdam’s estimated fifteen to twenty hours is vastly underrated, particularly when you consider you have to get the timing on certain challenges correct, which means a lot of waiting around.

I also didn’t get a glimpse of the execrable Saints, so I’ll have to reserve...

Sorry, this was supposed to be in reply to Veneno

I'm certain that I am minority when compared to the entire industry, but, I've cancelled my ACIII pre-order to make room for Hitman.

I'll get ACIII in 2013 when it's half price (or less) on Steam.

Hitman is too unique and my patience doesn't work against agent 47.

This sounds epic... but, for such a significant feature, is not getting much coverage!

The industry needs variations with difficulty levels, not just less resources and enemies that take more damage (*cough* Diablo)...

So, why wouldn't IO/Square release another trailer detailing the nuances behind the difficulty level settings!? Perhaps they will...

And, to BlakHoodE's point, yes, release a demo! People got to play what sounds like a ...

How did Hitman make the list? That makes no sense... if anything, it is being underhyped given the ambitious nature of the game.

I may have to capitalize on the over-analysis and make a parody video on YouTube with a ridiculous "Enhance, enhance, enhance..." until I zoom into fabricated details.

"One way to go about that level is to go in all-guns blazing, but of course, it's not the smartest way."

I love it. The negative reaction shouldn't have been from any actual fans (or at least intelligent ones). There are too many games to count that had misleading trailers pre-launch.

At the end of the day, if it's not gameplay, it has no impact on the game. It's a trailer. Not a gameplay trailer.

I think IO is wis...

Sweet... just shared this video all over the place. Hitman is going to bring the series back in a big way.

Deciding on whether or not to order an NVidia 660 or 670 just for this game.

Great execution on the concept... or at least it looks like it will be well done.

Agreed... glad to see someone "get it". The chatter around this feature is absurd, it is obvious that a lot of people can't wrap their head around this mode.

I think it will add a lot to the game (especially considering I've played the Sniper Challenge 100 times and you can't even walk around)... most importantly, it will add to Absolution without taking away from the core.

Can't wait! I am skipping other November releases to make ...

This is a great idea. Well done IO. Adds replay value with a quick tweak of existing levels.

I doubt this will impact single player at all; it sounds like we'll just have the ability to pick apart the objectives of their pre-established levels (likely requiring players to unlock the levels in advance).

Definitely. Can't wait. I just re-played through Blood Money on the hardest difficulty level... 6 years old and still fun. Should make Absolution "feel" that much better.

I have hyped this game up to myself and I hope it delivers.

Or perhaps it could simply be called "Hitmen"... but I doubt they would dilute their top IP like that.

Consider Tribes: Ascend... I was skeptical, but it's a top-notch free-to-play game that also has micro-transactions.

Monetization doesn't necessary = cash. It is likely a mix of in-game currency and real money.

For years we've speculated on "What if" Hitman went multiplayer? The common response was "... nah, it is just single player". But perhaps IO can actually bring this series to a happy online medium.

Agreed 100%... I'd actually offer to pay for a portion of his capital punishment just to save taxes in the long run.

Once he is proven guilty of course.

Hey, perhaps this is not a function of the difficulty... they could be referring to HOW you play the game.

Maybe 80% will see a final level, but only 20% will see THE final level. It may not even depend on if you go the Silent route vs. Guns Blazing... maybe it is dependent on the choices you make throughout preceding levels?

It would be nice if they added in complex decisions for the final 1/3rd or 1/2 of the game that needed to be made in mid-level that im...

Hey... I think I may have figured out how to do Bullet Time in Max Payne 3 multiplayer.

Check it out:

You have quick, one on one duels... random generated, semi-close quarter areas. It is always one on one and that way the bullet time can be used as a tactical advantage if it is used properly.

So, what does everyone else in the game lobby do?

They watch.

Look at Mortal Kombat's spectator mode, something...

That article made no sense... from the poor technical descriptions to the "prediction" that GTA V will use the same engine as Red Dead.

Dude, GTA IV used the same engine as Red Dead!

It is called RAGE (Rockstar Advanced Game Engine)... it's been around since they did Table Tennis.

They are not going to use Frostbite... while destructible environments would be nice (and should be a requirement for this entry into GTA)... they wo...
