Agreed. To "hate" GTA IV and to "love" GTA V means that you jump to conclusions. GTA IV took some time to get used to (just like Assassin's Creed and Skate... there was a learning curve).

GTA IV was a technical marvel in and of itself at the time. I thought it was very well done if the investment was made.

GTA V is our Epic. It's the current gaming generations equivalent of "The Odyssey" ...

So, there was already a 2nd wave of sales...

3rd wave = GTA Online and how much fun people will be having with it (Possibly converting the CoD drones over to something a bit less linear)

4th wave = PC Version w/ full Steam support, replay editor and modding out of the box (I CAN DREAM!)

5th wave = GOTY Next Gen XB1 and PS4 versions... w/ their versions of "Sharing" content enabled and the ability to transfer your Saves via R* Cloud ...

Hahahahha... well said...

Correct. Setting boundaries is a much better approach than pretending things don't exist.

@Snake...

What is up with the "7%" better textures figure? Do you know what kinds of hi-res textures PC games can even achieve?

I'm pretty sure he'd play the game for years regardless, he is likely just reinforcing that if it looked even better... with mods/enhancements... he would play it for an extra year or two.

I was still playing GTA IV on PC up until V came out!

Wait... if there is no meaningful correlation - what do the right-wings/republicans have as a scapegoat this month?

Perhaps it is MOVIES! Yes, violent movies are training people to be violent.

It certainly has nothing to do with our country's complete disconnection with family values, paired with exponentially more stressful lifestyles to achieve far less success compared to the previous 3 generations, or the FDA approved pharmaceutical cocktails that a...

Ummm... what? I... don't... I can't even comment on that.

"hope you guys like it, even if you don’t please let them know! Enjoy!"

I would like to formally let them know that I didn't like that.

Wait... am I going crazy? Why is everyone plugging devices directly into their TVs? Does no one use an AV receiver to feed all of your components through one device that handles advanced audio?

Good speakers and a solid receiver aren't that expensive... and renders this entire conversation around limited HDMI ports in your TV null and void.

We're talking about $900 worth of new console hardware w/ limited game libraries. Let's all just buy one co...

Or buy a receiver and do it properly... you should never need more than 1 HDMI slot in your TV if you do it right :)

Then use the pass-through for the enhanced Cable features.

Saving an HDMI port in the back of your receiver.

Same here, I just* finished that mission before reading this.

Totally unrelated, but, I have to say it... I've never played a game before where it has been so entertaining to have your character die. On a jet ski based mission I was looking behind, and went full speed into the pier, you actually saw Michael's neck break and he died instantly w/ full health.

The "Wasted" treatment is awesome, the only downside is that it jumps to the respaw...

Funny article.

I don't mind that link-bait title... because it was well written!

Not necessarily true. I expected to doubt this article heavily; but it is compelling. Definitely interesting that R* is going after them legally for posting the code.

Just because the PC version hasn't been released, does not mean it isn't already finished. R* wants the console sales, that's where the fast money is. PC will do very well digitally, but, certainly not $400 million well. They may simply not want the PC version to interfere with the best selling cons...

Didn't even consider that... very good question. Ha. He isn't relevant at all anymore. He had his chances. Aside from Syndicate I was never truly impressed.

...And GTAV will be GOOD... something Fable failed to achieve. I remember kicking chickens and farting, the rest of the entire series was a blur of pointlessness with the illusion of choice.

Take notes Peter. R* may need an intern one day.

His logic is based on the fact that he's trying to have a pissing match with Rockstar, and forgot to pull his zipper down... and by the time he completely pissed his pants, Rockstar had already made nearly a billion dollars... and they made this money without crafting lies and false promises, which is something that Mr. Molyneux is very talented at doing.

Hey JPacho, I watched it... it seemed like a recap of GTA V, high level, with an announcement that you didn't buy a copy of the game. Yet you were disappointed with the graphics?

Segments like this one could potentially perform better if you provide some kind of unique spin on the story...

Just my $0.02!

I mean, if you're comparing it to PC, sure... I'd love this on PC.

But, that's like wanting your used Honda Accord to outperform a Nissan GT-R...

In this particular case, Rockstar most definitely added a turbo to that Honda. There is nothing else from the current generation that can even remotely compare to GTA V.

Don't forget the people who will give it a terrible review just to drive more ad revenue! Those are hilarious.
