This may be the one to watch out for!
It was never about family, or connecting with your friends. It's about segregation of the individual so that each person will pay. That's the reality of online gaming!
They tought Facebook and other social services that will "bring people together" but in the end it's just a ploy to make each person pay.
For the family it's the worst. Instead of splitscreen they offer their online service. So, in my setup, in a family of 3, I hav...
If games like this can't see a profit nowadays then I'm at a loss as to what will.
How can this industry grow exponentially like this and be in a worse position than before?
If online is the only thing gamers want and the only thing companies can afford to make then I guess I'll be finding another hobby. Online was fun for a few years as a console gamer but shooting people starts to get old after awhile.
Although this is just a fairytale of sorts, one cannot deny that there is some truth there.
Microsoft is a master of illusions. Much like a magician they weild the power of deception to make things seem better than they actually are.
They hire celebraties to appear at their E3 conferences to give the appearance that their console is a better console. Why? Well because people of importance play it.
They hire musicians to sing. Why? To atta...

Shhhh!!!!
Don't tell anyone! You may create a 6th stage....the grief over your comment.
Dear Software_Lover,
I'm not ready for a relationship right now. Please refer all emotional attachment to your opinions.
In the meantime, I shall refrain from any commitment whatsoever. Please understand.
Unlike a divorce, Microsoft gets all your games. Not just half.
Unlike a divorce, Xbox Live will cost you more than child support.
Unlike a divorce, Microsoft can still see you (literally)...
Unlike a divorce, Microsoft still has control over your vaccinations.
Unlike a divorce, Microsoft never loved you.
Unlike a divorce, Microsoft always cheated on you.

Microsoft thought they hooked enough people to their online service to pull an abusive practice like that. I think they'll wait one more generation when gamers build up their digital library some more.
For me I'm not investing my money into services. They make video games too reliant on their services in order to function. I'm not going to build up a 1000 game library only to lose it when I disagree with one of their rules they keep changing around.
The ones that come with discs.
Agreed 99%! From a political perspective the game developers really screwed the full potential of this game. It could have been better, sure.
I'm a big fan of the Aliens movie and have been waiting for nearly 20 years for a game like this. Taking it from a standpoint of "how many games did they make based on the movie?" this is the 2nd. The first was on the commodore 64 back in the day and I find it the ONLY game to capture the atmosphere and horror. <...
The coop and online modes in general are unique and fun. My entire family finds the game fun (for what it is, not for what was expected).
Agreed. On that front they failed miserably. Keeping that in mind the game was a big disappointment compared to what was expected to be. For what it is though, I found the game to be highly enjoyable (for what it is) for those that are fans of the movie.
I'm happy with this game. They've really proven to correct themselves through all the updates. I bought three copies and play with my wife and son.
Despite the letdown of not meeting their target render we still have fun with the game...especially the updates that followed after launch.
Thank you.

It sure is. They should lower the price to 1.00 and tell everyone that digital games can never be owned. Until then, everyone will think they are getting a steal.
The big issue. Artistic vision vs. free roaming gameplay. What a controversy this is.
In my opinion I value as much freedom as possible while preserving the intended experience. If they can do both then they have truly mastered the art of immersion.
The problem with Call of Duty is they don't use artistic vision to their advantage. Instead they limit both paths and leave the player dependent on social experiences to drive their success.
Unplug the internet
Agreed. I however still find it difficult deciphering the terms and conditions. Even when or if I do these terms and conditions change, leaving me little to no warning. I doubt though that anything could be done if they wanted to change something in their favor. The most I can do is stop buying at that point. The predatory part is when they take away all your past purchases for something you disagree with today. That is the part when even the responsible consumer has no control.
