1) Gamer Masks. Why decal your console when you can decal your face? Associate your favorite characters to your account.

3) Fingerprint covers. Just like disc covers. Protect your fingerprints from exposure.

4) Video Loopback adapter. Just slide the screen over your PS EYE or Kinect. Loops 3 hours of video.

The 360 and Wii were more popular. Once the popularity wore off, video games returned to the spotlight.

Why would Microsoft or Sony care if used games are losing sales for third party developers? Why didn't they care when developers wanted an online pass fee for used games to access online?

Was Sony or Microsoft the ones who watered down 10+ year old IPs to favor the masses? Or was it Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy XIII, Orange Box, and Resident Evil 6? The point I'm trying to make is who is really motivated to make these kinds of move?

If I were a...

Let's try to disprove ourselves just for the sake of checking our thinking processes. Shall we?

Let's assume for a second that Kinect being always on is for our convienance and is gaming related.

Let's give Microsoft the benefit of the doubt and assume they will only program the mic to pick up gaming related function commands when it's off.

The question I can't answer is this though:

How far can Microso...

The comparisons I made were between the PS3 and 360. I should have clarified that. Helpful comment. Thanks.

Do not dismiss Sony from the possibility of these acts. This seems to be an industry change coming from developer demand. Don't forget Microsoft and Sony serve most of the same developers...developers that are also their customers.

Like us, they have demands. They are largely the middleman. In the case of Sony I believe they are standing one step behind Microsoft. I think they are waiting to see how the XboxOne plays out.

Sony did mention that the PS...

There will be no need to spread the word to everyone. Everyone will become a victim at least once. That's all it will take for an awakening or, at the very least, a moment of pause before purchasing again.

I have all the gaming related information I need...

1) Used games are being controlled.
2) Mandatory Online check ins.
3) A gaming camera always listening.
4) Each disc is tied to one person (New or used)

Using the gaming information I've gathered leads to one conclusion. Gamers need to serve, jump through hoops, and compromise while movie watchers, music listeners, cable subscribers, Facebook members, and sports buffs get all the...

Now is the time to fight this online and software control. Don't wait until Sony and Nintendo thinks it's okay and implements theirs. Set the example by banding together across all platforms and unite under one voice. Don't spend a dime on things like this. Do it now while you still have choices to buy other consoles and wait it out. If you don't we could be looking at a very bad future for gamers.

I bought about 50 PSN games and have stopped buying digi...

Used games. Are they really the cause of studios closing down due to lost sales?

In part? Yes. Yet there are other factors present to cause such things. One observation I have made is the large availability of titles that keep hitting the market every year. There are so many games released every month that I am having a hard time researching them all. Sure there are reviews to help sift through the duds, but I'm finding many great games catered to my personal tastes ...

People go ballistic because they expect something different.

If I go to a Redbox I expect to be renting. I know the rules of what renting entails, therefore I can judge it's worth based on what I'm getting for the money.

Steam it's the same concept. They have excellent deals that reflect their true worth.

For a console people expect ownship for the prices they pay. Why, well because they are getting the same product as Steam bu...

I find it a bit funny when the game industry complains about how the cost of gaming has skyrocketed.

So they release a more powerful console that keeps their problems around. They target single player because of it's need for a plot. Then continue on about how the technology is so expensive when using motion capture, computer programs, and studios to make a game.

Yet they create an online service that requires continuous resources and maintenance. A se...

...and just yesterday I was accused of wearing tin foil hats or being paranoid for saying the exact same thing.

Believe what you will. Most people here can find some merit in the credibility in what is being said. For most of the gaming crowd it can be reasonable to say that these consoles aren't following at least one of your prized gaming wishes.

The movement toward online seems pushed rather than from consumer demand. Sure gamers are in demand for...

The air vents at the top are a bad design. It allows dust to settle inside the unit. Dust will insulate the components and trap heat leading to a higher operating temperature.

On the PS3 you can see how the vents are small and always located on the side and bottom of the unit. Very efficient at keeping dust out. Even looked in several fat PS3s after a few years of use. Very clean inside.

Fact #1- Kinect was never developed for gamers. It was developed for identification enforcement to lock each disc to one person.

Fact #2- The microphone was never added for gamers. It was added for identification enforcement to lock each disc to one person.

Fact #3- Microsoft is using their security technologies such as retinal scanners and fingerprint devices and masking them into future Kinect cameras and touchscreen features.

Fact #4- Mo...

Sony is following the same path, just at a much slower pace. It seems they will be evolving their touchpad as a form of identification enforcement, such as fingerprints. Like Microsoft Sony needs to get all their equipment into the household and get people highly invested in their purchases before making their move.

As I've been predicting for years now, online and software control has come full force.

Expect them to enforce this using facial recognition and voice recognition. After this expect the camera to detect the number of people in a room and watch to see that you don't hand the controller to someone else.

The next step in their identification enforcement is to introduce a touchpad that will initially be for gaming. Like Kinect they will evolve the de...

This means each disc is per person. If there is a family in a house each one needs a their own copy to play. Yet they are targeting the mass market, family, and friends.

There was no way I was going to pay for 3 XBox Live subscriptions in order for my family to play online. I'm definately not going to pay 180 dollars plus the subcriptions to play as a family.

That is not servicing the values of family and friends. This is family and friends servicing...
