They need to pick the option that leads to the best results for all platforms.
If using the PS3 as the lead platform leads to the best results for 360 and the Wii, then that should be the option used.
It seems to early to tell given the fact that the next Xbox hasn't been announced. The idea is to use the method that yields the best results for all platforms while considering that all versions get similar results.
Hopefully this goes worldwide.
I'd rather buy the copy but these companies stealing from me. This whole digital revolution through a service is the biggest scam of all...making consumers believe games are still for sale. It's time you become educated to the reality at hand.
The digital stores of PSN, Xbox, Steam, or any other that provides a service is selling the consumers just that...a service. Nothing more. They are serving "access", not control over your titles.
I...
Microsoft will do just about anything else to get gamers to buy their consoles. They have created a highly efficient online experience. They have created an image of popularity. They have created a great social based platform. They also created a device that can do many other things outside of gaming.
What they lack is being a gaming company. In that weakness they compensate with their money. They go out and buy the talent instead. Great games that are bought by Micros...
Are PS4 games going to cost 99 dollars? Amazon lists them as such.
Why did I have more excitement for the PS3?
Final Fantasy XIII Versus was announced to silence the uproar over their multiplatform move. It makes little sense to offer an exclusive after that.
Think about it. During this same time period they released a Final Fantasy Vll game video with updated graphics and stirred up the hopes of a remake only to announce it as a tech demo. Why would they do something like that and then show the public? They knew there was too much work put into it for them to be screwing around...
The only game I've ever heard of that ruined lives was World of Warcraft.
I'd like to find out what caused such an addiction. I'd imagine that part of it had to do with realtime elements, group coordination, and time consuming gameplay in order to make progress.
They surpass each other in different areas. PSN focuses on game access while Xbox Live focuses on online multiplayer enhancements. Depending on your value in games either one will be worth the money you spend.
I'm glad you understand. It's easier to discuss such thing with PC gamers due to the fact they've been online much longer.
For console gamers it is a whole new breed of suckers for the industry to tap. In alot of ways the console is far worse than any software and online control I've witnessed on PC.
Being a console gamer all my life I've been hoping it would never follow the PC ways. When it happened this gen I began to see some hope t...
I believe that theft is occurring on both sides. The pirates are stealing from the companies while the companies are stealing from the honest consumer.
While it may seem unlikely that a company would do such a thing, a reasonable investigation reveals such truths. Though they are better hidden from those that are not educated in these matters.
Most people know what piracy is. What they don't know is some of the reasons why. The generalized consensus r...
1) Zelda would search for Link and have survival skills.
2) Mario wouldn't be a plumber. He'd be a soldier on pills.
3) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles wouldn't be mutants.
4) Ninja Gaiden wouldn't be hard.
5) Mike Tyson's Punch Out would include map packs of jail.
6) Contra wouldn't need 99 lives...just 9 seconds to regenerate health.
7) The Power Glove would have been a facepalm protection device.
8) Blowing into ...
This is why print is dead.
They are working on Windows XP until 2014. It released in 2001.
Okay then. Let's focus on situations where it has. Most EA servers have gone done for titles this generation. THIS GENERATION.
Almost every day I see current gen services dropping out within 1-2 years. Now while the argument may be it's low activity it still doesn't justify those that pay for the online service to exist. It also doesn't justify those that purchased the game that still is being sold in stores when the online was already taken down.(i.e. ...
For those that doubt, ask yourself this...
1)If I unplug my internet, do my backups work? Or anything else? (as in the case when PSN was down for over a week?)
2)Have I ever lost any games or content because of an online service in the past (i.e. original Xbox).
3)Have the games I purchased at the beginning of this generation still appear on the store or have they removed them for space of new titles?
4) Is my primary recover...
The article stirs up some previously unaware concerns about online in general. So let's recap...
1)It costs an extra 10.00 to play online with a used game.
2)One console prevents the ability to backup saved games without a subscription.
3)The other prevents the ability to play online multiplayer.
4)In both cases none of the digital games, dlc, add-ons, or season passes are considered ownable...just accessible.
I wasn't aware of the original. Nice info. In general a rerelease of the original story involving Solid Snakes infiltration of Outer Heaven. The beginning...
"The player's character is Solid Snake, a rookie member of the fictional special forces group FOXHOUND sent on his first mission. He is assisted via radio by his commanding officer Big Boss, who offers information about mission objectives and items; as well as a local Resistance movement composed of Schne...
Is that you Hideo?
Video games are a highly personlized experience. I wonder what the author considers a properly rated experience, given the fact he/she is labeling the more recognized titles this generation has to offer.
