Exactly, it seems the part about the PS3 version coming out in 2007 and the other two in 2008 is just speculation on GameSpot's part, otherwise they would've quoted Ubisoft people on that. It's probably fueled by the fact that only the release date of the PS3 version is mentioned in the official fact sheet. Let's not forget we've already had a somewhat similar situation with Ubisoft and Assassin's Creed.

If they pull off everything they talked about, it could be game of the year material.

It sucked arse on the PC BECAUSE it was loaded with bugs (and because it was too demanding on hardware), but they already fixed around 800 (!) bugs from that version.

It's a fine article, but I have something to add. Sony indeed needs to do all those things, but what happens if Microsoft does them as well? The article seems to presume Microsoft will sit twiddling its thumbs while Sony takes over the lead, but that's very unlikely to happen. Impressive exclusives are coming to the Xbox 360 as well, Live will undoubtedly continue to improve and a price drop - for which Microsoft is currently much, much better positioned - is also inevitable. So while I agree...

I'm glad it's coming to XBLA because Exit is one of the few PSP games I give a damn about.

So for all its bells and whistles it might still end up another lazy console port? A shame.

True, but R-Type Final did end the story, or so I've heard (I actually have the game, but no PS2 to play it on).

R-Type TACTICS? What the...?

And wasn't R-Type Final supposed to be, you know, final? I guess after all these years Japanese developers still haven't learned the meaning of the word.

So Ubisoft's PS3 exclusive is a movie game? Could be good, I guess.

Actually, there are three teams working on Splinter Cell games (Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft Shanghai and Ubisoft Annecy) so that's how they manage to release a new game every year. Also, this new game is supposed to be completely different than anything we've ever seen in the series.

Awww, that's sweet. What was it last month? Supply problems?

That press release in Hungarian is more recent (05/15/2007) and it only lists PC and Xbox 360 as currently supported platforms.

Actually, right now the engine is targeting only PC and Xbox 360 platforms, not PlayStation 3 which you also listed in the header. Look here for confirmation:

OMG! Consternation! Horror! Shock!

Please... High end PC tech is already far ahead of everything Xbox 360 and PS3 can offer and that's no surprise, that's the way it always works out.

I believe one of them is supposed to be a downloadable PSN title.

This update is totally retarded and uncalled for. Like those statistics mean anything in the first place.

By the way, I often do my searches by typing only 360 and another related keyword so it's not only PS3 that is being overlooked.

Too bad only 30 will be on the disc.

Talk about taking things out of context. Here's what has been said:

"Shack: What do you think about PlayStation Home? Are you guys going to do anything like that, or--

Shane Kim: No. I don't think we need anything like that. I've spent some time with the Linden Lab guys [developers of Second Life]. To try to build Second Life on Xbox Live--or YouTube, Facebook, any of those big social networking services and sites--it's a lot of work. It's all software, and...

Actually, I'm a PC gamer and while I didn't exactly love the PC version of Halo, I enjoyed it thoroughly. It really deserves its spot among the best first-person shooters of all time, despite its flaws.

As for this review... Oh well, I know many PC snobs who would undoubtedly agree. Or maybe Halo 2 really is so much worse than the first game, I wouldn't know.

The visuals are actually quite nice and very sharp, but they still retain the stylized flair of previous Halo games. That's putting some people off, even though they should have known that would be the case. If you look at the actual frame buffer grabs (as opposed to blurry video grabs), the game does look rather nice.

People are also forgetting three things. First of all, this is a *beta* version. Secondly, it's a *multiplayer* *beta* version so everything is tuned for providi...
