XDefiant is the newest addition to multiplayer shooters. It needs a numerous player base to keep it going, so just how many players play XDefiant, what is the player count? Read on to find out.
Ubisoft has recently released their 6v6 arena shooter. It is a mashup of their other titles, so you have characters from Watch Dogs, Far Cry, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, and The Division. This, combined with the latest technology, cool guns, and fun gameplay proved to be a success, as millions of players have joined XDefiant from day one. But, just how many players play it? Keep reading to see the player count for XDefiant, and how you can check it.
XDefiant Player Count
At the moment, there is no way to see the official number of players, as XDefiant is still a “new” game.
On the other hand, what we do know is that only two and a half hours after the official launch, XDefiant already had one million unique players/downloads. It had half a million concurrent players on the first day. After that, 48 hours after the release, there were over three million unique players and 300.000 concurrent players. That was a strong start, but, naturally, those numbers will gradually drop, so we presume somewhere around 100.000 concurrent players is the norm for now.
How to Check the Number of XDefiant Players
There are no official or third-party trackers that can help you check the number of concurrent players. SteamDB would be an excellent alternative, but the game is only playable on Ubisoft’s app, not Steam, so there is no way of gathering that information.
What you can use is Stream Charts, to check XDefiant’s popularity. It will not give you the number of active players, but what it can do is show you the number of XDefiant channels and viewers. That way you can gauge the number of players based on its streaming popularity.
