If you haven’t played Hades 2 and you plan to, we suggest you skip this article. We wouldn’t want to spoil anything for you. Now, if you are already a part of the Hades 2 community, you know that it’s a wholesome one. It’s quite rare to find a gaming community that is centered around appreciation for the developer’s efforts, rather than on critiquing them. Players know just how much effort the developers put into their work. An amazing part of that work is the research behind all of those little laugh-inducing details that make Hades 2 fans so happy.
Players Appreciate the Tiny Hades 2 Details
One of those content players, PlasticScrambler, asked their fellows for the funniest moments in the game. They started by sharing their own. They said: “I fully belly laughed when I saw the bodybuilding Mel statues after clearing fears run. All of Mel’s lines when she observed them are hilarious too”. Another fun one was: “Mel’s voice changing with Circe’s spells”.
Of course, some of those moments aren’t strictly funny, but they give us a content chuckle. The OP shared: “When Hades asked how the house looks, Mel replied honestly, and he gently admonished her she was supposed to lie. It’s not haha funny, but I found Hades’ rare gentleness to be so endearing”.
Another small but funny detail was noticed by desertsatyr. They shared: “Odysseus: The travels you have been on are so much more than a mere journey. There has to be a better word for it…”. This must’ve caused a phenomenal little giggle. Another player, sam77889, added: “Yeah, damn if only they could write a book about it, like an epic poem or something”.
Obviously, there are plenty of chuckle-worthy Chronos‘ lines. LittlePumpkinLamp said: “It’s not supposed to be a funny moment, but one of Chronos’ defeat lines is “I curse the day Hades sired you” and I think Chronos cursing the fact his son had s*x is immensely funny”. Samaritan_978 confirmed: “All of Granpa’s time puns (and he doesn’t have a single line without time puns) are amazing”. BloomEPU shared: “I shall abide what is doubtless a necessary bathroom break.” as their favorite Chronos line. They explained: “He really said go pi** girl”.
This Diss Track Deserved Every Laugh
Of course, one of the greatest moments in the entire game mentioned over and over again, has to be Scylla’s diss track. This one tickled quite a lot of people. GrimTheMad said: “Scylla writing and singing an actual diss track because she just hates Melinoe that much”. Another fan, named cidvard, added: “That song is amazing. That little dress! It’s such a mess! Looks like it’s from the garbage! I can feel Darren Korb’s joy in that fight”.
A Redditor, whynofry, shared why it was so hard to beat Scyla. They said: “The best part to me was I was just expecting the comment to be the diss… I think it was the longest Scylla (and the Sirens) fight I’ve had cause I just dodged to listen to the new jam… While I laughed my a** off at how perfect that encounter is”. Finally, paulinaiml admitted: “I laughed out when she found the written lyrics and she recoiled from cringe”. And we have to agree, the developers really outdid themselves with the whole sequence.
There are many more wonderful little details scattered all over the game. The developers did a great job and did a lot of research in order to achieve this level of enjoyment for the players. They must relish the fact that they caused so many Hades 2 fans to laugh. Also, with every new run, you are sure to stumble upon something new and delightful. So, take your time and enjoy the game.
