As we said previously, the magic meter is a feature that has been missing in the Legends of Zelda games since Twilight Princess came out. The last game that had a magic meter was Wind Waker all the way back in 2002. Naturally, this means the prequel for TOTK, Breath of the Wild, didn’t have it either.
However, one interesting thing is that the magic meter was actually present in the beta gameplay for BOTW, which means the developers were thinking of adding it to the game but decided against it last minute. Because of this, many players are thinking that they might go the extra step for Tears of the Kingdom and implement the magic meter.
Although it’s certainly possible that they do the opposite of what they did with Twilight Princess and BOTW and add the magic meter despite it not being present in the gameplay demonstration, we really doubt something like this will be happening
