Dragons in Breath of the Wild were mythical flying serpents that flew across the skies of Hyrule. Each dragon represented one of the three springs in Hyrule. These invincible creatures would often drop valuable dragon parts that could enhance armor and greatly enhance the dishes you made.
With dragons making a return in Tears of the Kingdom, here is what we know so far.
Will the Dragons Return in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?
Through the released gameplay footage, we have seen one dragon soaring through the skies of Hyrule. In fact, it was soaring higher than any dragons previously could in Breath of the Wild in between the Sky Islands themselves. However, this Dragon is different from Farosh, Dinraal, and Naydra and might be a brand new Dragon altogether.

While not the same as the traditional Breath of the Wild dragons, Gleeok is another dragon that has been confirmed for Tears of the Kingdom. This three-headed beast will serve as a boss in the overworld of Tears of the Kingdom. We saw Link fight a Flame Gleeok in one of the latest commercials for Tears of the Kingdom. We will probably see other Elemental variants of Gleeok in the overworld as well.
All Dragons in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
We will most probably see the return of Farosh, Dinraal, and Naydra, however, we might actually see some additional dragons pop up as well. All this assumes nothing happened to them during the story events of Tears of the Kingdom. Perhaps some ancient spring awoke new dragons, or the original springs got corrupted, harming the existing ones.
Gleeok and its variants have also been all but confirmed for Tears of the Kingdom, and we will likely be fighting a Frost and Lighting version of Gleeok as well. In fact, it’s possible for there to be a super Gleeok with all 3 abilities. These new dragon combinations are definitely a good reason to be excited about Tears of the Kingdom. We’ll be updating this list as soon as we get confirmation for all the dragons in Tears of the Kingdom.
