Diablo IV Takes the Crown for Being the Most Played Game on Valve Steam Deck This Week
The numbers for the last week (October 8-14) are finally in and the winner is clear. The most played game on Valve Steam Deck was none other than Diablo IV. This game’s rise to the top surprised some players, but the most devoted fans were quick to defend it.
The Game Secured First Place on the Valve Steam Deck Weekly Chart
This ultimate action RPG adventure rose 7 places in a week’s time. This sudden progress was presumably due to Season 6 of Diablo IV and Vessel of Hatred expansion dropping on October 8.
Interestingly enough, some Valve Steam Deck users were quite blown away by the fact that Diablo IV managed to climb to the top of the chart. Several players expressed their surprise, as some didn’t even know that the latest expansion could run on Steam Deck.
However, helpful players jumped in and shared their experiences. CoreyJK noted: “I’ve been playing a lot and feels the same as it did before the DLC, always played smoothly for me”.

Players Explain What Makes Diablo IV Great
Of course, there were some people who underplayed the success of Diablo IV by calling it “trash” and saying they couldn’t understand what was so appealing in it. Thankfully, most devoted players stepped up and explained why the game deserved to be at the top of the list.
Ikeelu praised: “It’s changed a lot since season one. It’s far less grindy and there are just so many options. You can target farm items a lot easier. They added pot, horde, Under City, and Dark Citadel which weren’t there in season one with tons of boss options. The game feels so much better right now”.
ArtIsBad added: “Yeah, definitely the best “casual” ARPG out there right now. The devs have been laser-focused on community feedback over the last few seasons and are on a roll in my opinion”.
As players who truly appreciate the thoughtfulness of the Diablo IV developers, we’re glad this game is finally getting the praise it deserves. If you are still deciding whether to try it out, let this be a sign to do it. You’ll probably love it.
