Diablo 4 DLC Vessel of Hatred Features
New Class – Spiritborn
This new Class combines the mystical powers of the jungle with martial prowess. “Become one of the Spiritborn and embrace the ethereal Spirits entwined with this ancient [Nahantu] civilization.”
The details are still a mystery, but, on July 18 there will be an official Class reveal, where we will learn more about this intriguing new Class.
New Region – Nahantu
A region that Diablo veterans may recognize, Nahantu is mostly a jungle area, complete with new enemies, strongholds, dungeons, and everything an area needs to have.
We already know that it will have “the hellish overgrowth of Kurast” and “the barren desert plains of Teganze”, and that is just the beginning.
Next Chapter of the Diablo 4 Main Campaign
Finally, the main story of Diablo 4 will move forward. Up until now, we only got Seasons, which add some story elements, but those are unrelated to the main story.
The official synopsis is: “The search for Neyrelle takes you deep into the ancient jungle as she grapples with the imprisoned Prime Evil. Attempt to unravel Mephisto’s dark plot while new foes encircle your every move, planning your demise. The fate of Neyrelle’s soul–and her ability to stop this Prime Evil from destroying Sanctuary–rests in your hands.”
Mercenaries
In Diablo 2 and Diablo 3, you had mercenaries/henchmen to help you fight off demonic hordes. Diablo 4 is more of a multiplayer experience than its prequels were, so you had other players to travel with.
But, in the Vessel of Hatred expansion, Mercenaries will be added, to help you out. Apparently, there will be four different types, and each of the Mercenaries will have unique abilities to help you in combat.
End-Game PvE Dungeon
It seems that Diablo wants a slice of the recent PvE popularity pie. A new end-game dungeon will be added to Diablo 4, where you must team up with other players to take down new threats together.
Sadly, this is everything there is to know about it, but Blizzard said more will be revealed later.
Pets
As you have most probably already realized, Pets have been added to Diablo 4. These furry friends can help you out by picking up stray items on the ground, and by providing companionship.
A free Pet is already available in Diablo 4, but Vessel of Hatred adds even more. There are dogs, tigers, and leopards, and we expect that even more fuzzy companions will be added in the future.
Miscellaneous Updates
Naturally, a bunch of small improvements, fixes, and updates are coming with Vessel of Hatred DLC. Expect new Class Skills, additions to Paragon Boards and Legendary Glyphs, new Dungeon types and rewards from the Tree of Whispers, and more.
This expansion will certainly shake up the world of Sanctuary and the Diablo 4 community.
