It doesn’t happen very often that the leaks get it right, but this time they did. The official Valorant account on X released a preview of the bundle, and it would seem the leaks got it right. Episode 9 and the new Valorant bundle are about to be released and we have all the official details thanks to the official trailers.
Everything We Know So Far About Episode 9 of Valorant
On the eve of the Episode 9 release, the official Valorant account shared: “Watch it all collide. The Evori Dreamwings bundle, the best of the best clashing at Valorant Champions Seoul, and of course a new Battlepass – experience it all in Episode 9: COLLISION”. Alongside they shared a trailer.
Duskspiral_Gamer noted: “They showed some new stuff, but very fast. They showed a Battle Pass judge and a spray, new Star Guardian skins, and then an Agent teaser at the end”. Another player, fredclose, noticed: “Was there a new Odin skin at 0:59? I’ve not seen a heart in the kill banner like that before”.
Previously, the trailer for the most recently added map, Abyss, teased the addition of a new Agent, as well. KasumiGotoTriss added: “The scene at 1:28 visually fits the person on that one player card.. So I guess that card does show the new Agent. Wild”. It seems the players will have their hands full this season.
Some players had other concerns. LuzVie noted: “I saw the EP9 Act1 trailer released a few hours ago and was wondering if that means we’re not getting a cinematic for EP9 or if the cinematic usually comes out later than the act trailer?”. They added: “They’ve released a new cinematic for every episode since the game’s launch. The map/Agent cinematics are a lot lower production value than the cinematics”. While we don’t know, we hope the cinematic trailer will come out at some point.
The New Bundle Will Bring Some Softness to Valorant
Of course, the developers dropped the bundle trailer ahead of the Episode 9 release, as well. The bundle is called Evori Dreamwings, and it’s absolutely adorable. As previously teased, this bundle was probably inspired by the Star Guardian Universe in the League of Legends. The release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it’s rumored to be on June 27.
One player, memeornothing, claimed: “As a grizzly bear of a dude, I am going to enjoy beating opponents with my magic wand and my four multicolored pets”. ShiroGaneOsu added: “Brutally caving in a dude’s head while being stylish? Sign me the f**k up”.
Now, this hasn’t been confirmed yet, but catarxcts offered some alleged details. They said: “Evori Dreamwings will include: 5 Animated Player Cards. Per Skin: 2,475 VP; Melee: 4,950; VP Gun Buddies: 475 VP; Playercards: 375 VP; Sprays: 325 VP. Bundle Price: 9900 VP”. If these prices are correct, the bundle will be quite expensive, but we are sure that won’t stop the most dedicated players from buying it.
Most of all, we are looking forward to seeing the juxtaposition of all the violence and the softness of the new bundle in the game. The trailers provided the Valorant players with even more hype over the release of the new bundle in Episode 9. Of course, with E9 Act 1 arriving mere hours after the moment of writing this article, we already know what we’ll be doing tonight. Hopefully, we’ll see you there.
