The First Descendant is the latest looter shooter, published by Nexon, which proved quite popular. Released on June 30, thousands of players flocked to see what the game is all about. You play as Descendants, superhuman warriors wielding the power of Arche, protecting humanity from the alien Vulgus and enormous Colossi. It has all the hallmarks of a looter shooter: you play missions to gain loot, like new weapons or materials needed to unlock Ultimate weapons or even new characters. Hundreds of thousands of players joined in on the release, with some spending over 200 hours in the game, but what is the situation now? Keep reading to see the current player count for The First Descendant.
How Many Players Play The First Descendant?
The game experienced some issues on the release with the servers, so the “real” beginning was on July 2. It started strong, with about 230.000 players. Naturally, that number dwindled over time, and in the end, the current number of The First Descendant players on Steam is somewhere between 30.000 and 50.000.
Note that this is only for Steam users, as this info is provided by SteamDB. There is no official way to know the number of players on consoles but we found out, via PSNProfiles, that about 6.000 players play TFD on PlayStation. We can assume that the number of Xbox players is roughly the same.
So, all in all, we assume that the total number of The First Descendant players is around 150.000-170.000.
The First Descendant Highest Player Count
The First Descendant experienced a slight increase in players after the release. The highest number of concurrent players was 264.860, and it happened on July 7. After that, the number of players is in a slight decline, as is expected. The highest number of players is usually soon after the release, or after some big update. Since The First Descendant is yet to have its own big update, we expect that the number will increase when that happens.
