Expressing oneself in online games is easily done by using Emotes and luckily, The First Descendant is full of them. Emotes provide a great way of non-verbal communication among players and can express many things, from greetings to good and bad gestures and some silly ones. Moreover, synchronizing Emotes with your friends is a favorite pastime of many gamers. All this and more can be done in The First Descendant, and we will show you how.
How to Use Emotes in The First Descendant
Using an Emote in The First Descendant is quite easy, and all you have to do is press the Ring button (the “L” key by default on PC) and select the Emote you wish to perform. Once the Emote from the Ring is selected, the player’s Descendant will perform it instantly.
If, for some reason, the “L” key does not open the Emote Ring, or you want to change it to another key, you should check the keybindings. Use “Esc” to open Options and go to the Keyboard & Mouse tab. Scrolling down, players can find the Ring Menu section and identify the key that is currently in use. Click on the currently used key to change it to whatever key you wish to use in the future.
How to Equip Emotes in The First Descendant
Players can customize their Emote Ring to add new ones and replace old ones in The First Descendant. Using the Equipment screen (the “I” key by default on PC), players can access the Customize tab. Once in the Customize tab, select the Emotes option which will open a new screen that displays all the available Emotes players have.
Moreover, you will find the Emote Ring here. On it, you can select and change the Emotes that you wish to bring with you for future use.
