Magister’s Hidden Assets is one of the quests that players will receive automatically early in The First Descendant. This is a side quest that does not need to be cleared to progress through the story or anything. How to Do Magister’s Hidden Assets Quest in The First Descendant
Speaking with Freyna after defeating a Void Intercept mission against a Stunning Beauty, will automatically add Magister’s Hidden Assets quest. This is not an essential quest and is more like a tutorial on how to open Encrypted Vaults. To clear the Magister’s Hidden Assets players have to open any two Encrypted Vaults found scattered around the world.
How to Open Encrypted Vaults in The First Descendant
To open Encrypted Vaults, players have to first acquire Code Analyzers, and every vault needs a specific one to open. There are three types here, Code Analyzer, Precision Code Analyzer, and Ultra-Precision Code Analyzer. Luckily, all Analyzers are dropped as loot by the fallen enemies, so all you need to do is clear a couple of missions, and you will find some.
Locating Encrypted Vaults is the next step, once players have acquired some Code Analyzers. Opening any two Vaults will do for this quest, and we recommend locating the two that need plain Code Analyzers. This is the type of analyzer that is more commonly dropped, which means you will have more of them anyway. Moreover, located in the north section of the Sterile Land’s Classified Area in Vaspers are two such Vaults. Using your scanner will help you pinpoint their location if you are having trouble finding them.
Once an Encrypted Vault is located, players have to interact with it by using a specific Code Analyzer. This will start a time-based mini-game where players have to stop a rotating dial in a certain highlighted location. After a couple of successful stops the mini-game is passed, and the Vault will be unlocked. However, if you fail in your attempt, the Code Analyzer will be lost, and you will have to provide a new one to try again. Now the only thing that is left is to open another Encrypted Vault and the Magister’s Hidden Assets quest will be completed.
