Season 3 of The Finals started on June 13. Players expressed mixed feelings over it, especially the new ranked mode. As they are getting used to all the changes that the new Season brought, some players noticed some buffs were making a popular weapon way OP. Now, the fans have taken to social media to ask The Finals developers to nerf the weapon.
This Buffed Weapon Made One The Finals Build Overpowered
The weapon in question is none other than the LH1. It’s a semi-automatic rifle for the Light Build. It has a relatively high fire rate and according to some players, if you stumble upon someone using it, you are doomed. TLukas123 insisted: “LH1 needs a nerf. This weapon is broken and is unfun to play against on TA Ranked”.
Vaz_Nussis agreed: “It’s like the throwing knives. There were buffs that made sense but they threw a damage increase in the mix for whatever reason”. One Redditor, xpfan777, added: “I’m a Light main and I feel like it needs to be turned down a bit. Maybe lose the damage buff but keep the rpm and recoil buffs”.
Another player, suffywuffy, explained: “LH1 was already one of the best guns in the game. Absolutely didn’t need any sort of buff. The Light issue and LH1 problem are exacerbated by the TA game mode. It’s a Lights paradise and it tortures every other class and you can’t balance things for TA without breaking them on Cashout. Embark has really shot itself in the foot here by making TA something more than a “fun alternative mode”. The LH1 is absolutely broken right now though”.
The players came to the conclusion that the current Season isn’t well-balanced and that the LH1 needs to be nerfed, as soon as possible. The most popular suggestion was to just revert the buff it had received and everything would be fine. A player, open_to_suggestion, had another idea. They said: “They should give it some actual recoil and make it so it doesn’t or slowly corrects position back to center. Make it a true marksman rifle”.
To Nerf or Not to Nerf, That is the Question
As expected, some LH1 lovers are not too keen on the idea of their favorite weapon in The Finals getting a nerf. Upstairs_Wonder4898 noted: “I think is the best gun in the game right now and it’s not as easy to use as some people might think, it’s a high risk, high reward, people with high skill go for the LHI because it’s the best option if you have an insane aim”.
Proof_Medicine_5178 agreed: “It has always been good to me, don’t know why not many people were using it. I also believe people are complaining too much about it because they don’t understand it’s a game mode issue and not a weapon issue”. Spinnenente took the nerf request personally. They said: “You people always have to ruin things when the Light gets a good thing“.
Now, honestly, it’s not every day that the players complain about anything Lights-related to be OP. So, yes this weapon should probably receive a nerf for The Finals to be more balanced. On the other hand, it’s nice to see the Lights enjoy some buffs for a while, we know they don’t always get the best items for their build. Who would you agree with?
