How to Create an Embark Account for The Finals?
Unlike many other games, The Finals does not require you to create an account. But you will need an Embark ID to play the game. Embark ID is there to store your in-game progress, contestants, and cosmetics. It can also be used to switch between different platforms: Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S without losing any progress or unlockables. Crossplay is fully supported.
To see your Embark ID, click on the Social icon in the top-right of the Main Menu. Your Embark ID should be in the top-left corner of the Social screen. If you do not have one, here’s how to create an Embark ID.
How to Create an Embark ID?
When you start the game for the first time simply follow the prompt on the screen to create an Embark ID. These instructions will require that you register your email and agree with the game’s terms. This means that you cannot access the game until you create an Embark ID. If you created an ID for Open Beta, it should also work now that The Finals are live.
After this, you will also have the option to link your existing Embark ID to this one if you already have it. Many players are unhappy with the random username that they are assigned upon account creation. Fortunately, there is an easy way to change the name once you’re set up. Can I Add Friends Using Embark ID?
Yes, that is actually the only way. In short, to add friends in The Finals you have to access the Social tab, select Add Friend, and there you can enter your friends’ Embark IDs. Once added to your in-game friend list, you can easily invite them to join your squad and play The Finals as teammates.
