Restart your PC

Run the game in Windowed Mode

One of the ways you can solve this problem is to run the game using Windowed Mode. Use the following steps to do this on Steam:

Locate The Finals in your Steam Library.
Right-click on the game and then click Properties.
In the General tab locate Launch Options and type “-windowed”.

Set in-game resolution

Setting the game resolution to match your monitor’s default resolution can fix this error for you. To do this you will have to locate Launch Options on Steam following the steps described above and type:

For 1080p: -w 1920 -h 1080
For 1440p: -w 2560 -h 1440
For 4k: -w 3840 -h 2160

Use DirectX 11 to run the game

Using the previous version of DirectX is also known to fix errors like this. Once again, using the previously explained way of locating Launch Options, use the following command:

Type: -d3d11 to launch the game using an older version of DirectX

Verify game files

In some cases missing or corrupt game files can be the reason for this error to appear. This is how you can verify your game files using Steam. Keep in mind that it will take Steam a few minutes to check all the game files and redownload new files if need be.

Locate The Finals in your Library on Steam.
Right-click on the game to enter Properties.
Under the Installed Files tab locate and click on Verify integrity of game files.
