Best Base Locations in Palworld
Plateau of Beginnings Base (233, -487)
The Plateau of Beginnings is, fittingly, one of the best locations to start your main base in Palworld. There’s a perfect slab of flat terrain toward the mountain’s base, as well as many cliffs great for skyscraper-like builds.
The surrounding areas provide a solid selection of early game resources, but not many Alpha Pals or dungeons can be found here. This is currently where I have my own base set up, though I’m planning on rebuilding or moving to a better-looking location. Awesome place for beginners bases.
Chillet’s Den Base (173, -418)
If you’re looking to set up camp near valuable resources like ore, then this is a good spot. Chillet’s boss den is just on the other side of a bridge leading to a massive ore farm, making it an ideal plot of land for mining.
Apart from this, it’s also situated at a pretty high altitude, which is great for defensive builds designed to keep raids at a minimum. You can access a decent variety of Pals and dungeons from this location, to boot.
Fort Ruins Base (190, -383)
I’m surprised I haven’t seen more Palworld players set up their base in the Fort Ruins. Located near the fast travel point of the same title, this area is home to a decaying fort. While you’d certainly need to reinforce the walls with a solid build of your own, this place has good bones with natural defenses.
There are plenty of Pals running around outside its walls, and there are dungeons to explore in the surrounding areas. You’ll even find a massive Statue of Power atop the fort’s highest landing (easier with a flying mount). All things considered, it’s a great spot for a build.
Fall Foliage Base (-52, -489)
This is arguably the best aesthetic choice for a base build, depending on who you ask. Fall themes tend to be wildly popular among fans of crafting and survival games like Palworld, so this will likely appeal to those looking for a beautiful location.
While the view here is admittedly stunning, it’s also a practical spot for a two-tier base, as two flat areas of land are sitting one above the other. There are even some ore deposits located nearby, to boot. Not to mention it’s just a short walk from the Small Settlement, where you’ll find a Pal Merchant. You truly get the best of both worlds with this location.
Ravine Entrance Base (-79, -445)
Of all the areas I’ve unlocked on my Palworld playthrough thus far, this is the spot I’m most considering for my endgame base build. Like Chillet’s den, this area is located near a sizeable ore farm, which is great for mining close to home or even putting your Pals to work there.
Aside from its resource value, however, this is also a visually pleasing area that’s exceptional for catching Pals and visiting dungeons. Although, they are a bit on the weaker side, ranging from Level 18-23 or so. The surrounding landscape is brimming with fields of flowers, and the cliffs look out over vast bodies of water. Overall, it’s a solid mid-game base option for creative builders.
