If you are a fan of The Finals, you know that the game has had its ups and downs. Recently, the devs faced criticism for issuing an unsatisfying patch and not providing the players with more new content. Now, a completely new issue arose as some of The Finals players reported a very confusing glitch in the game.
The Finals Players Share Their Experiences With the Glitch
Several players took to Reddit to check with The Finals community if anyone had encountered a new glitch, as it turned out many players had. Apparently, some players couldn’t pass through a hole in the wall, or a broken vent, even though they cleared it and other players could get through.
Blackbeenzz posted a video and noted: “This weird bug that happened once”. In the video, we can see the OP breaking the vent and going through it. A while later, the OP tries to go back through the vent, but they can’t get through. Their fellow teammate easily glides through the vent back and forth.
Another player, owni942, testified to having the same thing happen to them. This player stated: “I had the same thing happen to me earlier today when I was trying to get through a vent. My buddy was able to come through the other side just fine”.
Some of The Finals Players Lost Matches Because of the New Bug
Some of The Finals players reported a similar new glitch. They couldn’t go, nor shoot through a hole in the ceiling. When they did shoot, the bullets kept ricocheting off the hole, as if it were a hard surface. Chilldank admitted: ” I RPG’d myself instead of the guy stealing the Cashout”.
One player, Monkeyundead, shared a similar experience experience. They recalled: “Had it happen in Vegas in the Cashout room next to the alley that has the beams that cross the ceiling. It was dematted then destroyed but you could walk across as if the beams were still there”.
Another player, xbimmerhue, remembered a devastating loss. They said: “This literally cost us the win in the final round. The enemy team was stealing the Cashout and I couldn’t jump down or shoot through. The dude was the last one alive, with probably 10HP. Was so mad lol”.
A very helpful Redditor, z_mx, explained why this phenomenon was happening. This player noted: “It happens when there’s a desync with what your computer thinks is happening and what is actually happening on the server. This results in pieces being invisible or ghost pieces that seem to have no collision”.
Thankfully, we haven’t encountered this bug yet, but we’re sure it would extremely annoy us. Let’s hope that bringing attention to a problem will motivate the devs to fix it as soon as possible. Also, whenever you come across a glitch, feel free to report it, these issues need to be attended to. Until the devs fix the issue, you’ll find us running around the map, trying to avoid the holes. See you out there.
