The Litwick line, which includes Lampent and its evolved form Chandelure, is amongst the many Pokémon that have returned in The Teal Mask DLC in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. If you have added a Lampent to your collection and are wondering how to evolve it, you are in luck, as you only need one specific item to trigger the evolution into a Chandelure.
How to Evolve Lampent into Chandelure in The Teal Mask
You can evolve a Lampent into a Chandelure by simply using a Dusk Stone on it. With a Dusk Stone handy, follow the steps below to get your hands on a Chandelure:
- Open your inventory by clicking on the “Bag” option in the Main Menu.
- Go to the “Rare Candy” tab and scroll through the items until you find a Dusk Stone.
- Click on “Use this item” and then select Lampent from the list of Pokémons.
Once done, your Lampent’s evolution should be triggered, and you should now have a Chandelure in your collection.
The Dusk Stone should already be in your bag since you come across it while exploring the lands of Paldea in the main storyline. If you don’t have one, there is no need to stress.
How to Get a Dusk Stone?
Dusk Stones are collectable items that can be used to evolve certain Pokémon, including Lampent. Fortunately, you can easily get your hands on a Dusk Stone at the two primary locations:
- Montenevera Gym – You can collect the Dusk Stone by walking through a glowing Poké Ball present behind the gym near the window.
- Cascarrafa – You have to travel north along the river until you spot a Poké Ball near the cliffs.
Once you’ve gotten a hold of a Dusk Stone, you can start focusing on evolving your Lampent. However, if you’re also short of a Lampent to evolve, we’ve got you covered!

How to Get Lampent in The Teal Mask
According to the Pokédex Habitat map, you can find a Lampent in the central and northwestern areas of the Kitakami region. The Pokémon is commonly sighted in the Timeless Woods.
Once you find the lampshade-resembling Pokémon, you’ll need to battle it to capture it. Lampent is a dual-type Ghost/Fire Pokémon, making it immune to Normal and Fighting-type attacks. It is also resistant to Poison, Bug, Steel, Fire, Grass, Ice, and Fairy-type attacks. We suggest using a Ground, Rock, Ghost, Water, or Dark Pokémon to battle it based on its weakness.
Alternatively, if you can’t find a Lampent, you could just capture the Pokémon’s pre-evolved form, Litwick. These adorable little walking candles can be found trotting around at the Infernal Pass. The evolution of a Litwick into a Lampent is triggered when the prior reaches Level 41. Which luckily is easy since most Litwick’s you’ll find in the wild are already near this level).
