Are you curious about all the new Legendary Pokémon set to appear in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC? Stick around for details about each new Pokémon, including their exclusive moves, abilities, and more.
The two-part Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC is coming to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet in September, bringing both new and old Pokémon to the mainline titles. The new land of Kitakami and Blueberry Academy remain steeped in an air of mystery, but we can expect to see a long list of previously unavailable monsters as we participate in the Festival of Masks and the BB League. This includes a pretty extensive list of returning monsters as well as seven new Legendary Pokémon. Here’s what we know about each of the Legendary monsters coming to Scarlet and Violet.
- Only one code for a Hisuian Zoroark can be used in either the Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game. Upon purchase of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, an email with your code will be sent to the email address registered to your Nintendo Account. From the in-game menu, go to the Poké Portal, then select Mystery Gift, select Get with Code/Password, and then enter your code.
- The Mystery Gift option can be found within the Poké Portal menu option in the X menu after you unlock the feature in the Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game. (This occurs after about 1 to 1.5 hours of gameplay, though individual gameplay time may vary.) An internet connection and a Nintendo Account is required to redeem the item in game. A Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required. Each item can only be redeemed once.
Legendary Pokémon in the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC
Ogerpon
Ogerpon will appear in The Teal Mask, the first installment of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC coming to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. While very little is known about this Pokémon, The Pokémon Company has revealed that Ogerpon is the first of two new Legendary Pokémon to be introduced in the two-part DLC. In the latest trailer that dropped during June’s Nintendo Direct, masks of this Pokémon are worn during a festival in Kitakami, seeming to commemorate Pokémon of days past.
Okidogi
Okidogi is part of a new trio of Pokémon that you’ll meet in The Teal Mask, the first part of the DLC coming to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet later his year. It’s unclear whether Okidogi is a Legendary or Mythical Pokémon, but we can assume that the newly introduced trio is much stronger than other Pokémon you’ll find in the Paldea region. While little is known about it, Okidogi and its counterparts are said to be beloved by the people of Kitakami and they’re hailed as protectors of the land.
Munkidori
Munkidori is also a part of the new trio of Pokémon arriving in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC for Scarlet and Violet. Appearing in The Teal Mask, much is still left under wraps. We can’t say whether Minkidori is legendary or mythical, but we do know that this monkey-like Pokémon and its counterparts are widely recognized as heroes by the people of Kitakami, who have erected statues of the three in their honor. Perhaps the village residents pay their respects during the festival showcased in the DLC trailer.
Fezandipiti
The third member of the Loyal Three in the DLC for Scarlet and Violet is Fezandipiti. Just as little is known about this Pokémon as its counterparts, but it does sport the same magenta emblem on its body as both Okidogi and Munkidori. Not only that, but Fezandipiti also shares an all-new ability with the other two: Toxic Chain. This may poison opponents when Fezandipiti or its counterparts land a move in battle. Perhaps this strength is why the three are known as heroes in Kitakami.
Terapagos
While Terapagos did not receive as much screen time as the aforementioned monsters in the most recent trailer for the upcoming DLC, it has been confirmed that the Legendary Pokémon will arrive in The Indigo Disk. We don’t know much about the new ‘mon, but it does bear a striking resemblance to an unnamed Pokémon revealed in Pokémon Horizons. In the second installment to The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, we’ll learn more about Terapagos and its significance within Blueberry Academy.
Raging Bolt
Much like Walking Wake, Raging Bolt is a new Paradox form of the Generation 2 Legendary Pokémon, Raikou. The Pokémon will take on an Electric/Dragon typing in light of its new look. Additionally, it will have access to a new move called Thunderclap, which strikes before its target. Unlike other Legendary monsters appearing in the DLC, Raging Bolt will appear in a Tera Raid event, which is set to occur in Part 2: The Indigo Disk.
Iron Crown
Similar to Iron Leaves, Iron Crown is another new Paradox Pokémon, which serves as a new form of the Generation 5 Legendary monster, Cobalion. The Steel/Psychic-type will also have access to a new move called Tachyon Cutter, a Steel-type attack that hits twice in succession. Like Raging Bolt, Iron Crown is set to arrive in a Tera Raid event following the launch of Part 2: The Indigo Disk.
Apart from these new ‘mons, you can also snag Mew as a Mystery Gift until September 18. If you play your cards right, you’ll be able to add the elusive Mythical Pokémon to your team just in time for the release date of the expansion. Whether you’re playing Scarlet or Violet, now is the time to prepare for your school trip to new lands.
