Is Pikmin 4 Out?
Pikmin 4 has yet to arrive, slated for release on July 21, 2023. With just over a month left to go until the game’s launch, Nintendo has released several trailers, including one that was showcased in the February Nintendo Direct. However, it’s easy to understand some of the confusion surrounding the release of Pikmin 4, as it was first announced in September of last year. In any case, we still have some time before the game launches next month.
What is Pikmin 4 About?
Much like past installments to the series, Pikmin 4 requires you to play as a customizable avatar and spend a day on Earth. To survive, you’ll need to effectively utilize different strategies with the help of Pikmin companions. Each type of Pikmin has a unique strength, such as resistance to fire, which can either help or hinder you in battle depending on the strategy you choose.
In the most recent trailer for the new entry, it was revealed that your avatar is a member of the Rescue Corps. You’re sent to Earth to save your leader, who has crash-landed on the planet. In an unlucky turn of events, your team crashes in the process, and it’s up to you to make it through the mission alongside the various Pikmin you find on the way.
Pikmin has earned popularity among casual gamers who favor light-hearted strategy games, and it looks like the upcoming entry to the series will deliver just that. Look for more on Pikmin 4 when it launches next month on July 21.
