There are some very exciting brand-new games coming to the PS5 this year, as well as a variety of highly anticipated sequels to already successful IPs such as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Final Fantasy 16. Below we have all the new PS5 games plus upcoming PS5 games coming in 2023 and upcoming games for 2024 and beyond.

Note: this page is updated several times per week to ensure we have all the latest information about each and every PS5 game. Therefore, there will be updates filling in the information about each game and adding screenshots and release dates.

Atomic Heart is a first-person action RPG developed by the Russian studio Mundfish. The game is set in an alternate universe Soviet Union in the mid-20th century, where advanced technology, robots, and mysticism coexist.

As a Soviet KGB agent, you discover a mysterious and dangerous world full of strange creatures, corrupted robots, and mutants as you investigate a secret facility. To overcome obstacles and defeat enemies, players can use a variety of weapons and abilities to overcome obstacles and solve puzzles.

With a unique art style and atmosphere, the game’s world combines retro-futurism, industrialism, and horror elements.

Like a Dragon: Ishin – February 21, 2023

Like a Dragon: Ishin, also known as Ryu Ga Gotoku Ishin, is a historical action-adventure game developed and published by SEGA for PlayStation. It is part of the Yakuza games series, although it takes place during the Edo period during the 19th century.

During the turbulent times of the Meiji Restoration, a former samurai named Sakamoto Ryoma becomes embroiled in a web of political intrigue and violence. As Sakamoto, players explore the game’s open-world environment, engage in battles, and interact with characters.

After the Fall (PSVR) – February 22, 2023

Vertigo Games’ first-person shooter After the Fall is designed specifically for PlayStation VR. A mysterious snowstorm brought a new ice age in the alternate 1980s Los Angeles, unleashing hordes of undead creatures called Snowbreed.

The player controls a survivor tasked with battling the Snowbreed and discovering their origins. Up to four players can team up and battle through the game’s levels together in cooperative multiplayer mode.

Horizon Call of the Mountain – February 22, 2023

Developed by Guerrilla Games, Horizon Call of the Mountain is a video game that combines adventure and action elements. Sony Interactive Entertainment published the game as a PlayStation VR2 launch title as a spin-off of the Horizon series.

Former Shadow Carja rebel Ryas is sent on an expedition to investigate a new threat to the Sundom to atone for his crimes. Ryas will meet several new and returning characters on his journey, including franchise protagonist Aloy.

Redemption Reapers – February 22, 2023

Redemption Reapers is a set in a turn-based strategy game set in a dark fantasy world medieval developed by Adglobe. The main plot involves the player’s resistance team against Mort Legions, who are trying to destroy their nation.

With their overwhelming terror and might, the macabre Mort armies destroy nation after nation, decimating humanity in their wake. The Ashen Hawk Brigade is the only hope against the Mort.

Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge – February 22, 2023

Developed by ILMxLAB and published by Lucasfilm Games, Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge is a virtual reality adventure game. It takes place on Batuu in the Star Wars universe, the same planet as the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge theme park attraction at Disneyland and Disney World.

Players take on the role of a droid repair technician stranded on Batuu, fighting off hostile enemies while navigating the dangerous terrain. Players will encounter characters from the Star Wars universe along the way, including Yoda and R2-D2.

Using virtual reality controllers, players interact with the game world and fight with blasters and other weapons in Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge. Moreover, the game features a branching narrative system that enables players to influence the story’s outcome.

Blood Bowl 3 – February 23, 2023

Based on the Games Workshop tabletop game of the same name, Blood Bowl 3 is a fantasy sports video game developed by Cyanide Studios. The game combines elements of American football with the fantasy races and creatures of the Warhammer universe.

In Blood Bowl 3, players control a team of players from one of several fantasy races, such as humans, orcs, elves, or dwarves, as they compete in brutal, no-holds-barred matches against other teams. The game features turn-based gameplay, with each team taking turns moving their players, passing the ball, and making attacks to take out opposing players.

Grim Guardians: Demon Purge – February 23, 2023

In this 2D action-adventure developed by INTI CREATES CO. LTD., the Kamizono “demon hunter” sisters have to slash and shoot through a massive demonic castle to save their school.

Control can be switched between the two characters at any time, each with a different skill set. Face the demonic bosses deep inside the castle as you proceed through it. As you face each boss, you’ll gain new weapons, allowing you to explore new ways and uncover new routes.

Kerbal Space Program 2 – February 24, 2023

Kerbal Space Program 2 is a space flight simulation game developed and published by the independent studio Squad. The game puts players in charge of their own space program to explore the solar system and new planets.

In this game, players design and assemble their own spacecraft using a variety of parts and components. They launch their spacecraft into space to achieve their objectives and carefully manage their resources, fuel, and navigation. Reaching orbit, landing on other planets, or establishing a space station depends on the player’s objectives.

Octopath Traveller 2 – February 24, 2023

Octopath Traveler 2 is a role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix. Multiple improvements, including facial animation and better camera work, distinguish it from the two previous games in the series.

The game follows the stories of eight separate characters in the world of Solistia. Their paths often cross, but they each have their own motivations. As opposed to the previous game, which was medieval, this game looks like it was set in the 18th or 19th century.

CATAN – Console Edition – February 28, 2023

CATAN – Console Edition is a console version of the popular strategy board game. The console version is developed by Dovetail Games. Taking place on a fictional island called Catan, players compete to develop settlements and cities on the island while trading resources and building roads.

Various types of terrain, such as hills, forests, and fields, are represented by modular hexagonal tiles on the board. The dice roll determines which resources the players’ settlements and cities will produce, such as brick, lumber, grain, ore, or wool. By trading these resources, players can acquire the resources they need to build or improve existing structures.

Destiny 2: Lightfall – February 28, 2023

Lightfall, Destiny 2’s expansion campaign, takes place on Neptune in Neomuna, a technologically advanced city. This campaign features new enemies, a new setting, and a new ability to handle everything.

Strand is the new ability available for every class. Strand can be used differently depending on the class you are.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty – March 3, 2023

The upcoming action-role playing video game Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is developed by Team Ninja and published by Koei Tecmo. Woo Long: Fallen Dynasty brings a touch of Dark Fantasy to 184 AD China during the Han Dynasty.

All over China, there are uprisings, rebellions, and strife. Players must use swordplay based on Chinese martial arts to combat deadly creatures and enemy soldiers.

The Sims 4: Growing Together – March 16, 2023

Growing Together, the Sims 4 expansion pack, focuses on family and the stages of life members go through. This pack contains a number of additions intended to enhance the family-friendly gameplay of the game. In addition to teaching kids to ride bikes, hosting sleepovers, experiencing a midlife crisis, and taking part in elderly exercise groups, and much more!

Peppa Pig World Adventures – March 17, 2023

Peppa Pig has another game, and this time, the player gets to do a lot more. Instead of sticking to the regular neighborhood, Peppa is going across the world. The itinerary includes New York, Paris, London, and many more places. There are new characters, activities, and a promise of more fun.

WWE 2K23 – March 17, 2023

The newest entry in the WWE 2K series features a roster of WWE Superstars and Legends, including “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, Ronda Rousey, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and more!

The highlight of this entry in the series is the new WarGames mode. This is a 3-on-3 and 4-on-4 multiplayer match inside two side-by-side rings. A double steel cage surrounds the entire arena.

Resident Evil 4 – March 24, 2023

Survivor of the Raccoon City incident, Agent Leon S. Kennedy, is sent to rescue the president’s kidnapped daughter. This is a complete remake of the original Resident Evil 4. The gameplay has been modernized, the story has been reimagined, and the graphics are vividly detailed.

MLB The Show 23 – March 28, 2023

MLB The Show 23 is a cross-platform baseball simulation developed by Sony San Diego and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Players get to play as their favorite baseball team and simulate their own season in this game.

An automated world is the setting of The Last Worker, a narrative adventure centered around a lone worker. It combines work simulation and stealth strategy. The protagonist, Kurt, works for the world’s largest retailer and decides whether to help the company or fight back against it.

Everspace 2 – April 6, 2023

Developed and published by Rockfish Games, Everspace 2 is a single-player space simulation and action role-playing game. It was released in early access in 2021 as a sequel to Everspace.

Everspace 2 lets players explore a vast, dangerous galaxy filled with various factions, enemies, and treasures. Players can explore and discover new locations and storylines at their own pace in the non-linear open world of the game.

Megaman Network Legacy Collections – April 14, 2023

Mega Man Legacy Collections is a compilation of games developed and published by Capcom. A spin-off of the original Mega Man series, the Mega Man Battle Network series features several games set in an alternate reality where the internet is the norm.

It follows Lan Hikari’s adventures in the cyber world alongside his NetNavi, Mega Man.EXE. The game features a mix of role-playing and action gameplay, with players able to customize Mega Man’s abilities and weapons to suit their playstyle.

Besides the game, the collection includes concept art, music players, and challenges that allow players to test their skills against difficult enemies. Overall, the Mega Man Network Legacy Collections offer a comprehensive package for fans of the Mega Man Battle Network series and newcomers who want to experience these classic games.

The story of Minecraft Legends revolves around a Hoglin invasion of the Overworld. As the player fights off the Hoglin invasion in a Real-time Strategy setting, they must unite the Overworld, Zombies, Creepers, Villagers, and other mobs to stop the invasion.

According to what we see now, this game might explain why there are so many ruined portals in the Overworld, and why the Hoglins hate the player so much in the Nether. Building mechanics are found in many Real Time Strategies, but the game also has a strong sense of community and raising an army.

Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores (DLC) – April 19, 2023

There hasn’t been much revealed about this DLC. From what we can see from a trailer shown during the Video Game Awards, it takes place in Hollywood. This trailer shows Alloy riding a flying dino around the area formerly known as Los Angeles County on the back of a Sunwing machine.

Dead Island 2 – April 21, 2023

Developed by Dambuster Studios and published by Deep Silver, Dead Island 2 is an upcoming action role-playing game. Despite being announced in 2014, the sequel to Dead Island has been delayed multiple times, and its development team has changed.

After the original game’s events, California is overrun by zombies in this open-world game. It follows the storyline of a survivor navigating a zombie-infested landscape and completing various missions and objectives. The game features a mix of melee combat and ranged weapons, with players able to craft and upgrade weapons and equipment to better suit their playstyle.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor – April 28, 2023

Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games are collaborating on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which continues the story of Cal Kestis.

The story picks up five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. During Cal’s training to become a Jedi Master, he wakes up another Jedi. There isn’t much else we know, but Cal seems to be getting closer to starting another Jedi order.

May 2023

Age of Wonders 4 – May 2, 2023

Age of Wonders: Planetfall is a turn-based strategy game set in a sci-fi universe. Each faction offers unique abilities and units, and players can engage in a variety of strategic gameplay, including diplomacy, research, exploration, and combat.

Through a tech tree system, players can customize units and factions in both single-player and multiplayer modes. Additionally, the game includes a campaign mode, allowing players to engage in a story-driven experience as they explore and conquer the galaxy.

Atlas Fallen – May 16, 2023

Developed and published by Focus Entertainment Games, Atlas Fallen is a Fantasy Action semi-world game developed by Deck13. Vanity of the gods has left a dystopian world of sand to ruin. Players must progress through the various regions while gaining strength to eventually face the Watcher and the Sun God.

Amnesia: The Bunker – May 16, 2023

Amnesia: The Bunker is a first-person horror game developed and published by Frictional games. The plot is set in a desolate WW1 Bunker where the player faces terrors stalking the dark corridors. While keeping the lights on underground, players must find and use tools and weapons. Leaving the bunker alive is the goal.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League – May 26, 2023

A new action-adventure game called Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is being developed by Rocksteady Studios and will be published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Based in the Arkham Universe, the game follows Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark as they battle to bring down the Justice League after they are brainwashed by an alien threat.

Each of the four playable characters has their own abilities and playstyles, and each is played from a third-person perspective. Participating in various missions and side quests, players can explore the city of Metropolis in an open-world environment.

June 2023

Street Fighter 6 – June 2, 2023

Developed and published by Capcom, the Street Fighter series has been around for a long time. Street Fighter began in 1987 with the release of the first game, followed by a series of sequels, spin-offs, and adaptations.

There are several characters to choose from in the Street Fighter series, each with their own unique abilities and moves. A variety of gameplay mechanics are included, including special moves, combos, and super moves, as well as defensive techniques like blocking and parrying. The confirmed fighters are Ryu, Luke, Jamie, Chun-Li, Guile, Kimberly, and Juri.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom – June 5, 2023

The Elder Scrolls Online is an MMORPG developed by ZeniMax Online Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is set in the fantasy world of Tamriel, which is also the setting of other games in the Elder Scrolls series, including Skyrim and Oblivion.

The new Necrom expansion brings a new class (the Arcanist), zones, skill lines, and a storyline for players to discover.

Diablo 4 – June 6, 2023

Developed by Blizzard Entertainment, Diablo 4 is the fourth installment of the popular Diablo series.

In the dark and gothic world of Sanctuary, players can choose from a variety of classes, including barbarians, sorceresses, and druids, all of which have unique abilities and playstyles. An expanded skill system in Diablo 4 allows players to create unique and powerful characters with different builds and gameplay styles.

Final Fantasy 16 – June 22, 2023

There are new characters in Final Fantasy 16, each with their own special abilities, and a story focusing on the struggle between the nations of Valisthea, each possessing a magical entity known as an Eikon.

Players can switch between characters on the fly and use a variety of attacks and abilities to defeat their opponents in real-time combat. A variety of side quests and activities are expected in Final Fantasy 16, as well as an expansive open world.

Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life – June 27, 2023

Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is a remake for the Nintendo Switch of the farming simulation video game released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2004. Originally known as Harvest Moon outside of Japan, the game is part of the long-running Story of Seasons franchise.

Players take on the role of a young farmer who inherits a rundown farm from their father in A Wonderful Life. Players manage their farm, raise crops and livestock, and interact with the game’s cast over several years.

July 2023

The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie – July 7, 2023

The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie is an RPG being developed by Nihon Falcom and published by NIS America.

It follows the story of a group of characters, each with their own unique abilities, as they navigate political conflicts and power struggles between the various nations of Zemuria. Players will explore a vast world, interact with non-playable characters, and engage in turn-based combat.

It will feature deep, complex storytelling, well-developed characters, and an immersive environment. Besides new gameplay mechanics, the game will introduce new systems like brave orders for unleashing powerful abilities in battle, as well as a bonding system for building relationships with other characters.

Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg – July 13, 2023

Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg is a remake of the 1997 classic role-playing video game Atelier Marie: The Alchemist of Salburg.

The player assumes the role of Marie, a young alchemist tasked with creating potions and other magical items to save her struggling workshop. The player will gather materials, try different recipes, and create powerful items to help them along the way.

A revamped user interface and updated graphics will be included in the remake of Atelier Marie. The new version will also include new features, such as fast-forwarding for battles and cutscenes, as well as additional content not found in the original version.

August 2023

Sea of Stars is an upcoming role-playing video game being developed and published by Sabotage Studio. This is a prequel to Sabotage Studio’s previous game, The Messenger.

As Valere and Zale, two kids with special abilities, players embark on a quest to save the world from an evil entity called The Fleshmancer in Sea of Stars. There is a turn-based combat system in this colorful and vibrant game.

Baudler’s Gate 3 – August 31, 2023

In Baldur’s Gate 3, the action takes place in the Forgotten Realms, a setting popular among Dungeons & Dragons players. Players create their own custom character or choose from pre-made options and embark on a journey through the world of Faerun.

Gameplay in”Baldur’s Gate 3 is turn-based and includes a variety of combat, exploration, and role-playing elements. Players can interact with the world and its inhabitants, making decisions that can have a significant impact on the story. The game also includes character customization options, including choice of class, race, and abilities.

The Day Before is an MMO survival game developed by FNTASTIC and published by MYTONA.

As a survivor, players scavenge for supplies, craft weapons and tools, and form alliances with other players. Players must survive and rebuild society while navigating a post-pandemic zombie-infested America.

Immersion and realism are key elements of The Day Before’s survival experience. The game’s developers intend to create a dynamic economy and a complex social system that react to player actions and choices.
