The dense jungles of Fortnite Wilds are teeming with plant life. You can obviously use it to your advantage — to swing around from the trees, and duck behind bushes and trunks for cover. But in Chapter 4 Season 3, there is another special group of plants that you can use to your advantage.
These plants also only spawn in the jungle biome and are called Pod Plants. With three distinct types that you can find, a savvy Fortnite player can use them to win fights. There are even some daily challenges linked to Pod Plants, so here’s how to use them to your advantage.
What are Pod Plants in Fortnite?
You will easily recognize Pod Plants in the jungle biomes of Fortnite Wilds by their coloring. They grow on ground level and their flowers are bright and bulbous. There are three distinct types of Pod Plants, each with a unique effect:
- Bomb Flowers: reddish-purple in color, they explode when damaged.
- Stink Flowers: yellow in color, they release a toxic gas when damaged.
- Slurp Plants: blue in color, they apply heal or shield when damaged.
- Dart-blasting Fortnite blaster replica: this ar-l blaster is inspired by the blaster used in Fortnite, capturing the look and colors of the one in the popular video game
- Motorized 10-dart blasting: blast 10 darts from this motorized blaster that has an acceleration button to power up the motor (batteries required, not included)

- Flip-up sights: includes 2 flip-up sights and an acceleration button to power up the motor
- To ensure proper use of ar-l blaster ensure access door is fully closed before use. Make sure clip is inserted fully into the blaster. Hold down acceleration button down & Press trigger.
How To Use Pod Plants To Get an Advantage in Fights?
When you get into a fight in the jungle, you can use Pod Plants to your advantage. There are two ways that you can leverage their power.
If you’re using a ranged weapon, you can shoot the plant and it will immediately burst. Their effect is then applied to anyone close to its area of effect.
The second option is to use a melee weapon and strike the plant. This will send the plant flying in the direction you’re aiming, then burst on impact. Once again, this will trigger their effect in a radius.
You can master using the plants by judging where your enemy is positioned and what types of Pod Plants are around. Then you can plan your strategy around using them to damage your enemies or to heal yourself. For example, sse cover to make them approach a damaging plant then spring out and shoot at it to deal extra damage.
With a little bit of practice, you can become a true jungle warfare expert. You’ll defeat your opponents with not just your weapons, but with their surroundings as well.
