Knowing how to unlock Fatalities In Mortal Kombat 1 is an integral part of the game. While the Fatality is only one part of the battle, it’s definitely one of the most fun and satisfying aspects of the game. However, since Fatalities in Mortal Kombat 1 are finishing moves that are character-specific, you have the ability to unlock special Fatalities for your favorite characters. How? So dive into the guide if you don’t want to be stuck with the generic default Fatality animations.
How To Get Fatality For All Characters in MK1
In order to unlock fatalities in MK1, you need to progress through each character Mastery track, play through Invasions mode, and complete the story campaign. Each character has their own unique Fatalities locked inside their Mastery tracks. Adept MK1 players might already know that you progress through Mastery tracks by using a character in different game modes, such as Ranked, Invasion, and Towers.
Each character also unlocks Fatalities at their own pace. This means some of the 23 available characters may unlock their signature Fatality at level 3 while others may have to wait till level 5. If you want to unlock all the available Fatalities, you’ll need to go through each character individually.
However, there are other ways to unlock Fatalities as well. While the character-specific ones can only be unlocked through the Mastery Track, there are some special unlocks that you can get through:
- Playing Invasion
- Completing the story campaign
- The search for a dangerous fugitive leads chosen warriors to a legendary tournament in Mortal Kombat (2021).
- Collect your warriors and oversee the tournament in your collection, starting with Pop! Scorpion.
- Item There’s a 1 in 6 chance you may find the chase of Pop! Scorpion without his mask. Please note: Chase variants are random.
- Vinyl figure is approximately 4-inches tall.
- Collect and display all Mortal Kombat vinyl figures from Funko!
How To Unlock Fatalities Through Invasion
In Invasion, you can unlock all sorts of special items for MK1, including Fatalities, and we’ll probably see more items added to the list of rewards as more updates come to MK1. As you progress through the Invasion mode, you will unlock special missions that will allow you to unlock Fatalities. Grinding the Invasion mode is a good idea regardless of whether Fatalities are on the list since you can still get currency and other loot.
How To Unlock Fatalities by Completing the Story Line
By completing the story campaign, you unlock some exclusive Fatalities alongside other neat achievements. You’ll also unlock Havik as a playable character, as well as some Koins in case you need to buy anything from the Shop.
Fatalities add a lot of action to the Mortal Kombat fights. They pick the gore that MK is known for and take it to the next level, and long-standing fans of the game find this mechanism to be an integral part of the game.
