Will Final Fantasy XVI Be on the Nintendo Switch?
Final Fantasy 16 has not been announced for the Nintendo Switch, and there have been no plans or discussions of the game coming to Nintendo’s hybrid platform. The game will be exclusively launching for the PS5 in June 2023 with no other platforms announced.
Although, the game will only be exclusive on the PS5 for six months. A PC version of the game has been casually mentioned by the game’s producer Naoki Yoshida, though nothing has been officially confirmed about the PC port. These are the only two platforms that have been mentioned for the game.
When Will Final Fantasy 16 Release on the Nintendo Switch?
A Nintendo Switch version of Final Fantasy 16 has not been announced, and it is entirely possible that the game will not be coming to the console. The game was made specifically for PS5 hardware, so it would seem like an incredible task to port it to the less powerful Nintendo Switch.
While Square Enix has brought the majority of the mainline Final Fantasy titles to the Switch, the last few games have not appeared on the platform. Final Fantasy 15 did appear on the Nintendo Switch after launch, but it was the Pocket Edition that was initially developed for mobile smartphones and has a completely different style than the original game.
