Is Final Fantasy 16 Linked To 15?
The simple answer is that no, Final Fantasy 16 is not linked to Final Fantasy 15. The two games take place in different universes, and all the pre-release trailers and information for FF16 suggest that there are no ties to the previous games.
The theme and setting of the two games are also different with FF16 having a more medieval fantasy setting, while the previous game allowed players to drive around the world in a modern-looking car.
Final Fantasy 15 follows Noctis Lucis Caelum, heir to the Lucian throne, who must track down the magical Crystal and save the kingdom from the evil Niflheim before the world is plunged in eternal drakness.
Final Fantasy 16 follows royal family member Clive Rosfield who goes on a quest for revenge while protecting his younger brother Joshua as multiple kingdoms fight over magical crystals that power society.
Do I Need To Play Final Fantasy 15 Before 16?
