Probably due to the size of the latest update, the players mostly concentrated on the negative aspects, rather than the positive ones. Thankfully, the devs reacted quickly and asked for feedback. Now, while waiting for devs to act on the feedback, the players are unburdened and starting to enjoy the game. That means the Helldivers 2 players are finally acknowledging the larva in the room and sharing some tips on how to complete that Secondary Objective.
Players Offer Tips on How to Complete the Larva Objective
Lots of Helldivers are still getting used to this new mission type. CheeseMedley asked the community to share some tips, as they couldn’t fully understand what to do. This player said: “Tried to do a mission with the new side objective last night but couldn’t figure it out”.
They elaborated: “My friends and I decided to save it for last because we knew picking it up would just send the brood into a frenzy. We finished all the main objectives and ran to the Larva location just before extract but couldn’t figure it out”.
Well, if this has happened to you too, you are probably just too late. As you might have noticed, the bugs spawn by the container, and they attack it. So if you leave this objective for the very end, the probability is high that the container has already been destroyed.
JMoneys advised: “From what you’re saying, you probably couldn’t find the container because it was already destroyed by then. You pretty much want to prioritize that sub-objective first of all and then make sure to bring it back to the extract and put it somewhere the bugs won’t patrol into it/aggro it”.
Another player, Ildebranth, offered some advice. They noted: “Check if the marker on the map is red.
Red means destroyed/failed”. Riker557118 gave the best tip: “Grab the baby bug and run like f**king hell. Recommend having someone already calling down the extract”.
You Can Also Exploit a Glitch in Helldivers 2
Some Helldivers 2 players offered some morally questionable tips for using the larva Secondary Objective to easily complete the whole mission. There seems to be a common bug (not the Larva) that will grant you with a clear run.
Creepy-River-236 elaborated: “Well, the Larva is bugged most of the time. It will try and call in a bug breach but the game will not spawn anything. The bug breach music and warning will play indefinitely. So for the entire mission, the bugs won’t be able to call in any bug breaches, making it really easy to win”.
We suppose that most players aren’t aware of this glitch, as they save the larva side mission for last. The devs will almost certainly remove this (probably) accidental feature. We suggest you enjoy it while it lasts. As for the recent changes, hang in there, it is frustrating, but we have an inkling it will pay off. For Super Earth and democracy.
