Something all players have been dreading may come to fruition. According to some leaks, the Jet Brigade is just getting started, as there are indications in Helldivers 2 files that Jetpack Berserkers and Hulks are on their way.
Leaks Offer Information on Jetpack Berserkers and Hulks
On November 2, one prolific leaker, IronS1ghts, shared their finding with the Helldivers 2 community on X. They shared: “(Leak) Jetpack Hulks unintentionally spawning in-game. Hulks have been accidentally triggering the “Jump” ability that we will see with the upcoming Jet Brigade Hulks”.
The OP added: “This is a tier 2 Hulk that can appear on high-level missions. Its head is a bit more rounded than a normal Hulk, but it’s still an Automaton. Sadly nothing too interesting“.
The leaker also revealed that another hated bot unit will get the Jetpack. Yup, the Berserker. They noted: “(Leak) Jetpack Berserkers. Upon the wave of Jet Brigade Hulks, Jetpack Berserkers will also be added”.
These leaks report that Jetpack Berserkers and Hulks should arrive in Helldivers 2 soon. So, if this turns out to be right, Helldivers will have their hands full. Sly stated: “God that’s terrifying. I’d s**t a brick if a damn robo-dreadnought flew across the battlefield just to fry me like a fish”.
Helldivers Fear the Leaks Will Turn Out to Be True
Now, several Helldivers reported already seeing “jumping” Hulks in-game. However, these were greatly dismissed as “glitches”, so no one truly paid attention to them until these leaks were released.
A Reddit moderator responded to some video evidence. The mod noted: “Not to pop anyone’s bubble, but this is just janky BitSquid physics. You can see the two boxes, from the Minor Point of Interest OP and the Hulk just walked into, also fly up into the air”.
They added: “Not saying the future content that’s been leaked is untrue, I just want to try and mitigate as much false information as possible. We’ll see what the Jet Brigade is cooking in the future when we get there”.
However, it was too late, as the damage was already done. Competitive-Mango457 said: “That looks pretty official. He had a starting animation and everything. We’re f**ked”. Another player, StatusHead5851 added: “Also his legs flailing in mid-air meaning he’s got those animations and is meant to at some point be in the middle of the f**king sky”.
