As you probably know, the devs issued a patch on October 29, and in it, they addressed many persisting issues. On a lengthy list of fixes in the patch notes, Helldivers 2 mainly pointed their attention to the resolved issue with the Service Technician. A couple of days after the patch dropped, Helldivers received a new Warbond, and their attention completely shifted to Truth Enforcers. So, it isn’t surprising that only now have they noticed that some of the fixes listed in the patch aren’t exactly working.
Nuke the Nursery Mission Issues Persist
Looking back, the Nuke the Nursery mission has had serious problems for a while. The Hive Breaker Drill would oftentimes be inaccessible, consequentially, the players wouldn’t be able to finish the mission. The latest patch notes claimed: “Fixed the Nuke Nursery terminals sometimes not being interactable”.
At first glance, it truly seemed like this issue was fixed. We played this mission several times since the patch dropped, and everything went smoothly. However, it seems that we were just lucky, as many players reported still experiencing this issue, although not as frequently.
One player, CAT_CG, noted: “It’s just lies”. Alongside, this player posted an image from their latest encounter with the Breaker Drill, where it can be clearly seen that the Drill can’t be accessed. Wordlesspigeon8 joked: “They fixed it sometimes. It’s less likely to become unavailable, but it still can and will. Kinda a half fix”.
Helldivers Found More Issues in the Latest Patch Notes
Now, if only one of the fixes in the patch notes turned out to be, well, half a fix, Helldivers 2 players probably wouldn’t have had such a strong reaction. However, players pointed out that several of the allegedly fixed issues were actually still problematic.
Another annoying issue that was supposedly fixed was the private matches showing in the public lobby. Several hundred players reported still seeing private matches, some even noted that there were even more of them after the patch.
One player, gumpis, shared their unfortunate experience. They stated: “I feel like it’s even worse now. Last night I counted 10 games in a row that said they were private or full (with a player count showing less than 4). Before this last patch, it would only be 2-3 before I found a “real” match”
Werdikinz added: “Matchmaking reinforcements also were not fixed. I tried playing a few games last night and could only ever get 1 person to join a mission with me. Idk what they did this time, but matchmaking feels worse”.
Others reported the Drill not dropping when called down, Hulks seeing through smoke, more troubles with matchmaking, etc. One player, crashfantasy, said: “About half of what they stated was “fixed” just isn’t. And now we have new bugs to deal with on top. Lovely”.
Now, in our experience, this is the first time in a while that the players were unsatisfied with the patch. Since the devs have delivered a lot of great buffs over the last couple of months, we hope they are also working on some more fixes. In the meantime, join us on Gacrux, the latest Major Order is in full blow, let’s complete it in style. For Liberty and Super Earth.
