“How the Turntables…” Bugdivers Finally Understand the Botdivers’ POV as They Struggle With the Helldivers 2 Major Order

Historically speaking, the bug front was always more popular than the bot front. We’ve witnessed several MOs fail because the majority of players were only interested in fighting the bugs. Consequentially, the relationship between bugdivers and botdivers would always become strained for a couple of days. However, in the last month or two, there’s been a shift in the front preference, mainly because of the last couple of updates. At the time of writing this article, a Major Order is likely to fail because botdivers aren’t interested in helping out bugdivers, for the first time ever in Helldivers 2.

Major Order Is Doomed if the Helldivers 2 Players Don’t Unite

The current Major Order has been challenging since it started. Realistically, liberating three planets and fending off attacks on 5 other planets is a lot. Many players were doubtful, but one by one, the planets were cleared and defended, until only one planet was left to be liberated, Gacrux.

Now, you’d guess that this would be an easy win for all the valiant Helldivers. Unfortunately, it seems that after all that hard work, the players will fail this MO, unless Joel steps in and does his magic. According to a third-party app, War Monitor, players will liberate Gacrux in about 14 hours. The Major Order expires around 6 hours from now.

As you may have expected, there is a strong campaign going online. Bugdivers are begging other Helldivers 2 players to help them complete the Major Order. However, many botdivers pointed out the bugdivers didn’t help them when they were asked. Also, many players thoroughly dislike the biome on Gacrux.

Bugdivers Show Their Sense of Humor and Give Advice for the Bug Front

Even though the situation is stressful, we have to commend bugdivers for being good sports. Sure, there is some tension, but overall they are mostly joking about this being well-deserved. One Helldiver, Efficient_Menu_9965 noted: “The MO ’bout to fall to poetic irony”. This player also added a great meme.

Of course, many botdivers chirped in saying they were trying their best to contribute. One of them, WhatWasThatAboutBo, explained: “As a bot diver that’s on the bug front I don’t know how to fight them. There are too many of them”.

So, if you are a botdiver thinking of joining the fight on the bug front, experienced bugdivers were glad to offer some advice. One player, nekrovulpes, suggested: “Light armor, shotgun(s), napalm. It’s all about mobility and area denial. Typically the weapons you don’t find useful on bots”.

Another player, PrincessKnightAmber, added: “Cover is pointless against the bugs. You want to stay out of close range. Keep your distance and keep firing. If they get too close back off away. Do everything you can to keep the bugs out of close range”.

So, the clock is ticking! Let’s meet up on Gacrux and show those awful bugs some Managed Democracy. We might even try out the WW1-inspired loadout. For Liberty and Super Earth.
