The players are close to doing the unimaginable. The latest Major Order truly put the Helldivers 2 players to the test, however, they only need to liberate Gacrux and defend one more planet and they’ll be victorious. The clock is ticking!
The Major Order Is Nearing Its End
After managing to finish the Claorell defense in the early morning hours of November 2, Helldivers realized just how close to completing the Major Order they were, with just Gacrux left to liberate. As you know, this week’s MO had the players liberate three planets (Matar Bay, Pandion-XXIV, and Gacrux) and fend off Automaton attacks on 5 planets.
At the time of writing this article, the players are awaiting the last Automaton attack while valiantly fighting against bugs on Gacrux. Around one day and four hours are left until the MO ends. Since the defense missions usually last for 24 hours, players are trying to coordinate and liberate Gacrux before the last defense mission.
Even though more than 50% of players online are on Gacrux, they are currently fighting a losing battle. According to the usually accurate third-party app, DiversHub, more than 15k players aren’t enough to liberate this planet. Since it’s the weekend, hopefully, more divers will join the fight soon.
Helldivers 2 Players Ask for Your Assistance on Gacrux
Don’t worry, though, as Helldivers would never give up without a fight. Social media is overflowing with calls for players to join this fight. It’s been a while since we’ve seen the players so invested in a Major Order.
One player, Serpentax1, pleaded: “Everyone to Gacrux, ASAP. Claorell is secured, we do not have long, everyone get your butts to Gacrux and do as much as you can in the time we have left. We can still win this MO but we need to work fast”.
Now, if you are generally a bot diver, or you aren’t a fan of the biome, some players suggested how you could improve your experience. Ladyshipzai noted: “For those who hate Gacrux or swamp planet, bring green Stratagems esp MG turret (short cooldown, help take down small bugs esp Pouncer and Hunters). Primary with a high firing rate. Someone with gas grenades/stun grenades. Red Stratagems: Eagle Straff, Orbital Strike”.
If you are still on the fence about joining, some divers explained why everyone should join them. One of them, hiddenkarol, said: “I don’t look forward to Gacrux. This s**tty jungle is worse than fire planets before the fix, but the duty calls. Now it’s time to secure this planet”.
Obviously, the only thing that we can suggest is for you to head to Gacrux straight away and join us as we fight to liberate it. Bring your Purifier, we’ll bring the Senator, actually, we might even come with a whole WW1 loadout. Let’s show those bugs some Managed Democracy. For Liberty and Super Earth.
