How to Liberate Troost for Major Order in Helldivers 2

Troost is the target of the latest Major Order in Helldivers 2, so read on to see how to liberate it.

In Helldivers 2, Major Orders are “global quests” that all Helldivers contribute to. They usually require you to protect/liberate a certain planet or a whole system, and they push the global narrative forward. In the latest Major Order, Super Earth’s intelligence has revealed that The Automatons are planning something called “The Reclamation”. Capturing the deep-space comms on planet Troost, in the Trigon sector, will reveal critical intel on that. So, let’s see how to liberate Troost for Major Order in Helldivers 2.

Helldivers 2: How to Liberate Troost for Major Order

Liberating Troost works the same as liberating any other planet. You have to complete Operations (consisting of one, two, or three Missions) on Troost, which will contribute to the overall Liberation percentage of the planet. The more Missions an Operation had, the greater the contribution will be. Once the Liberation percentage reaches 100%, the planet is considered liberated.

Bear in mind that this is a global effort. All Helldivers fighting on Troost are contributing to the global Liberation. Do not think that your contribution of 0.0001% is insignificant. There are thousands of Helldivers on any given planet, and if every squad contributes 0.0001%, 0.0002%, or 0.0003% (depending on the number of Missions in their chosen Operation), it all adds up.

Remember that this is an Automaton planet, so prepare accordingly. The missions will usually revolve around destroying Supply Depots and Airbases, along with the more general ones (like launching ICBM, extracting civilians, etc.).

What Can You Do When Troost Assault is Unavailable?

It may happen that Troost is at zero Liberation percentage but is unavailable to attack. In Helldivers 2, planets are conquered in a specific order, ie, we need to liberate planets that lead to Troost, before we can play missions there. A planet called Ustotu seems to be the gateway to Troost, so it has to be 100% Liberated before we get the chance to assault Troost.
