Trying to figure out how to customize your character in Helldivers 2? No problem. We’ll walk you through the steps to personalize your Helldiver and set yourself apart from other players on missions.
Helldivers 2 features a solid selection of armor sets to unlock on your playthrough and purchase through the two Warbond Battle Passes available. These cosmetics include capes, helmets, and more. The game doesn’t feature a ranking system, however, which can make it tough to stand out among teammates unless you personalize your character or switch up their look with the armor you have on hand. If you’re planning to team up with friends, you can easily customize your own character to better set yourself apart from the rest of your squad in Helldivers 2. Here’s how it’s done.
How Do You Customize Your Character in Helldivers 2?
Upon completing the early-game tutorials in Helldivers 2, you’ll gain free reign over your ship, which will serve as a home base of sorts on your playthrough. There, you’ll have access to your Armory within the Acquisition Center, as pictured above. Just open the Armory menu on the left-hand side of the room to begin the customization process.
From the menu, you’ll see several different tabs to navigate, including Weaponry, Armory, Character, booster, and Career. Hop over to Character to adjust your appearance and other aspects of your Helldiver, like:
- Body Type
- Voice Pack
- Emote
- Victory Pose
- Player Card
- Title
While each selection isn’t exactly extensive, you have several options to choose from when it comes to your character’s build, voice, and more. You can equip different armor sets from the Armory tab as well to spruce up your overall look. We might even see more customization and armor options added to Helldivers 2 down the line, though options remain pretty standard for the time being.
